I sent a charity bag out of the house this morning, and have half filled another this afternoon.

Also sent three eb8y parcels off today. Must photograph a couple of items to go on the local sale sites to get rid off as well.

    Rampant Recycler Debt-free and Proud!
    Hiya everyone

    Today I decluttered my jewellery.

My DH has bought me a new-to-me ring for our up-coming anniversary in March, which is having the size altered, and he is going to pay to repair a turquoise ring (was paternal gran's) and a turquoise locket (was maternal gran's) for my birthday just past :D

So whilst I was looking these out to take to the jewellery chap I thought I might as well have a good sort of the boxes. Have found several pieces that I never wear, together with a few 'single' ear-rings and a couple of broken things. So I will be taking all these in when I collect my ring - another 14 items :j

Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday

  • I have been decluttering my undies drawer a bit more this evening and chucked out some socks that have gone threadbare on the heel (one step away from holes). I'm trying to tackle the tights and pop socks whilst watching decluttering films on youtube.
I think I may have a tights problem...

I think it's smaller than that.

I believe its the diameter of a pencil they can squeeze through.

    Wow!!:eek::eek::eek:

I hope you get it sorted, carbootcrazy

I have had a very productive day today. And I am really looking forward to taking a car-load to the charity shop (hopefully tomorrow if I don't get too carried away with decluttering at home.I will continue decluttering after dropping kids off at school, and if I am going to donate, need to leave enough time before school pick-up.)

Today I have been sorting out "mine and OH's room".I use the term extremely loosely, because our room has lost all identity at the moment. All we own in there is a mattress on the floor.Even our clothes are in boxes around the house!
After re-assembling a floor-to-ceiling PAX wardrobe last week after carpet was laid,it had become abit of a dumping ground (mostly the stuff I was setting aside for charity, oops :o),so I cleared it out so daughter can start moving her stuff in so son can start moving his stuff into the chest of drawers she will be finishing with.I also moved 2 Trofast storage towers into little girls' bedroom. When kids came home they all sorted out a few bits:I went through a huge pile of clothes with 6yo DD-lots to donate there.Son sorted through a couple of tubs of tat and a few books.

Lots of rubbish and tat has left the house(cardboard/paper recycled) or been binned today. But real, countable stuff would be:
71-72: magazine holders to a friend. She was very happy to receive them to store children's artworks/writing in
I am not counting the trailer-load that father-in-law took from the garden to the tip for us :rolls of carpet and underlay from the 2 bedrooms decorated so far,a side board also put out in the name of decorating,2 large pieces of plasterboard that have been hanging around since we had the front room decorated mid-2013 ,and maybe a few other bits that I didn't see.I will count the stuff set aside for charity when it has left the house.

Was also very pleased to declutter my tax return tonight. The amount of things I was able to cross off my "to do list" as a result of doing that.....(cos I have written it on my todo list 2-3 times for each day between yesterday and Saturday 31st :rotfl:).This year I am going to be alot more organised.I don't know why I don't update the figures for my tax each month so that this time next year all I need to do is add them up and press "send".And because I have decluttered so much paper, tonight I had to spend the first hour trying to work out the term dates for 2013-14  :o.

    59. I used up the last one in a box of incense sticks and put the box into recycling.

    60. I went through my hub's wardrobe and got rid of the thicker coat hangers as they take up more space and replaced with the spare thinner ones we had and it is far easier to move the clothes along the rail.:)

    61. I found one glove without a mate so that will go to clothes recycling.

I rearranged some clothes and put some into a chest of drawers which freed up a couple of boxes. I have cleaned them and will use to store my Kondoed rolled up hand towels and bath towels in my airing cupboard which is great as I was thinking of buying new storage boxes.:T

(Kondoed is from The KonMarie Method thread on here if anyone wants to join us.:D)

    62. Random bag of junk I was keeping in the cupboard by the front door into bin. The cupboard is tiny and now looking very neat, just a pair of winter boots, spare carrier bags, a cloth shopping bag and dog poo bags.

    63. I went through some relaxation CDs I had downloaded and hadn't listened to for a while. I culled half of them and put the cases into recycling.
