    Keep going everyone! It's great reading about what you're all doing :j

    I'm finding this decluttering lark really addictive! I hit the bedroom today and binned;

    37 - 38. 2 old t-shirts
    43 - 39. 5 pairs of socks
    50 - 44. 7 old pairs of knicks!
    57 - 51. 7 pairs of tights/leggings
    58. Old bra

    I also found 5 new or nearly-new bras that I can sell on ebay.

    Continued with my bedroom blitz;

    59. Swimming costume - CS
    60. Kaftan - CS
    70 - 61. 10 t-shirts - CS

    I've sold 2 items on ebay but the buyers haven't paid yet. Why do people do that? I always pay straight away!

    73 - 71.
    My work colleague is in need of a monitor, keyboard and mouse, DH had some spares so I am going to declutter those to her tomorrow :)

    76 - 74.
    I found 2 bottles of Frozen branded bubbles and a Star Wars Death Star keyring in my present box and they made me think of my colleague's kids so will also declutter those to her tomorrow!

    Just went to get cereal box out of cupboard, and what do I find 3 yes 3 boxes of cornflakes open what's this all about!
    On closer inspection one box is newly open, the other two has about 2 inches left in the bottom. Consisting of cornflakes & dust, why can't they just empty one box first whether in their cereal dish or out for the birds. grrr

    3 - Cornflakes boxes in recycle bin, cornflakes bit out for the birds (they'll sure need them this morning as there's been a sharp frost.

    Recycle day tomorrow :T so been busy collecting all recycle items together. Looking outside everyone's bins are over flowing, don't envy the bin men this time of year.

    4- bottles; tins; cardboard - recycle
    5- old pair of slippers with hole in - bin
    6 - Christmas brochures - recycle
  • Really thought I'd do better than just 5 items today - trouble is I find so much cool stuff when I start sorting through shelves and drawers that I get side tracked.

    Todays items are:

    11 Eye Mask (bin)
    12 Book (CS)
    13 Book (CS)
    14 Book (CS)
    15 Scholl reviving foot gel (bin)

    Well done everyone - keep going!
    It's better to beg forgiveness than ask permission.

    I've started de-cluttering my office at work, too! 4 bin sacks of paper recycling today (mostly professional journals).

    I think evil forces are against me. Having been really good at sorting the post and cleared today's, I heard something come through the letter box. Thought it would be a pizza leaflet but no, it was a letter from Next regarding the directories that had been left on my doorstep. I have never had the directories and the last order I placed online was two years ago. Rang them up, they couldn't explain why they had been sent, cancelled the charge on my account. Now I have two great tomes to get rid of, but might have a quick browse first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Just finished the other drawer and two cupboards of the sideboard, I can't believe the paint brochures that have been in there for more than 4 years! There were also 4 baskets of cd's in one of the cupboards, there are now two and the cs bag is considerably fuller. It's very satisfying :)

    Not a lot to report from here as I can't really remember much of what I did yesterday! Monday is local market day so went in to buy some veg and have a natter in the cafe. The rest of the day, apart from feeding animals and bringing in the wood was spent generally pottering.

    Today is earmarked for soup making to tidy away some of the veg I bought yesterday and more pottering. I find that I can get quite a bit done on potter days as while I don't work on anything specific, I spend the time returning things to their proper homes. I may not keep a tally of what's been decluttered on these sorts of days but I know something has been done because the work surfaces become visible again. :rotfl:
