  • I can't believe I am still finding things to declutter - I've been doing it for years!!

I have some time off work soon, and plan a proper assault on my wardrobe - a combination of being a dress size or two smaller, plus a complete change in lifestyle (working full time up in London now, and getting divorced. The two aren't related :rotfl:) means that I need to have a good old clear out - I have stuff that's too big, or that was cheap and is now tatty looking - it's all going to go, to make space for my nice clothes. Well, that's the plan.... I am looking forward to it, in a funny kind of way ...

Took a couple of bags of stuff to the CS last weekend:-

399-405. Books (couldn't get a decent price for them, and wanted them gone) - CS
    406. T-shirt - CS
    407-408. Two sweatshirts - CS
    410. Top - CS
    411. Jeans to a friend

Hopefully I've have a big long list when I next post :D
Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

I also went to the charity shop yesterday with a big bag of OH's clothes.

Went through one kitchen cupboard today. A couple of items will be given to CS and therefore creating 1 clear shelf in the cupboard - Hooray.

A bag of shredded paper was taken to Mr T's paper recycling today.

Next weekend I want to sort through another kitchen cupboard.

done some decluttering - a couple of bags of rubish removed from the kitchen and dining room and now in the bin! last of the holiday washing washed and put away (only been back 8 days). i am slowly collecting books i have read to give to the lady at church who deals with the bookstall (but unable to hand them over as they are decamped to their living room following a major leek in the bedroom and she sorts books at home). my mum has given me a few new towles she bought for guests staying (ten people at hers) for my wedding so only used once and laundered twice. i have sorted out my scrapiest towels and dad will take to the steam railway in a weeks time (they will be cut into polishing rags for the trains and eventually soaked in oil and used to start the fire in the trains).

Chucked a couple of well past their best pairs of shoes and mum has given me the new mary janes she wore for the wedding (hotter shoes only worn once) due the fact she has developed mobility problems and is unable to wear them now.

need to find a space in the house (yes more decluttering) as i have an unwanted breadmaker waiting for collection at my parents. i am thinking of the cupboard under the stairs, on top of freezer (yes really that shot of space) as my kitchen is so small i can only have it on the worktop when in use!!

took a couple of craft bits to church for the kids craft cupboard, gave the cd of our wedding music the wife of a guest that wanted a copy (we have it stored on hubbys computer ).

recycling going tommorow - 4 weeks as missed last time due to holibobs!!

I need a shoe rack - to go under the coats in the hall - we cant walk along that space, but hubby has noticed i have shoes hidden/cluttering all over the house!! he does agree i use most of them (he has a pair and a spare!!).
Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"

The decluttering continues here with the clearing of a pram and the co-ordinating accessories.
