Been AWOL again for a while.Slow progress is being made.

I cleared the piles of paperwork off of the bedroom floor yesterday.
Some of it was shoved into a drawer.... :o
Some rearranging done too in the bedroom. It does look better.I gave away a large, framed picture to a friend last week.

I'm getting lots of wee jobs done,so I'm happy enough.

Well I managed to get a new job and a stinking cold at exactly the same time so life has been just working then coming home & collapsing for a bit, but I have managed a few bits and bobs...

1620,1621 two hideous knick knack ornaments
    1622-1626 four books
    1627 pair socks
    1628 - 1638 eleven CDs
    1639 ball of wool
    1640 butter dish
    1641, 1642 two necklaces
1643 load of manky / dead pens
    1644 top
    1645, 1646 two jumpers
    1647 pair knickers
    1648 jewellery making bits
    1649 cd rom
    1650 hair shine spray UU
    1651 bubble bath UU
1652 - tin of lip balm, the lid is really hard to get off & I finally lost patience and binned it.

So there you go, I thought I had done nothing, but actually numbering it helps me see that I am still making progress, not feeling so disheartened as I was before I typed this up!

A pile of things were returned to family and a budgie cage was removed. Clothing cleared out too with some to charity and a small heap to the bin.
Taking responsibility one penny at a time!

Casati, congratulations to your new job. Hope your cold is gone soon.

This week decluttering is going well.
    * All kitchen cupboards have now been cleaned. We have also gone through the content and moved some of the stuff around. A bag of various kitchen stuff was dropped off at the Charity shop yesterday. We are both pleased with the result.
    * Sorted through my shoes yesterday. Another 3 pairs are ready to be dropped off at the charity shop.
    * A bag with various crosswords was dropped off at MIL yesterday.
    * A pile of paperwork was shredded today.
No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23

I desperately need to declutter as I have no room left in my cupboards. My children (adults who live at home) also store things so there is no space! I need to get rid of bedding, clothes, games and books. I did quite a good job on paperwork last year as I broke my foot so was laid up for 3 weeks but it was a bit drastic.
Will see if I can reach my goal of space in all upstairs cupboards by Christmas.

I tidied up in the garden last night and filled up most of the garden bin. Got rid of loads of rotten apples on the ground.

Dropped off a bag with lots of plastic bags for recycling that were either broken or too small to be used.

Yesterday we used up 2 packets of bbq rub with best before date 2011.

Next plan is to go through my jackets/coats.
