  • I'm in too!

Sorted out toys before Christmas (duplo, board books, trains and cars) will take those to school on Monday for nursery/reception.
That's 2 boxes out of the way.
Need to go through mine and husband's stuff. Normally goes to CS but have recently found out that there is a homeless shelter not too far so will take any stuff there.

Was it this thread I saw someone else's middle name is procrastination?? Maybe we could be the procrastination sisters?! I'm terrible for getting a wiggle on. I saw a signature on MSE - I could be unstoppable, if only I could get started. That's me to a T!!

Right, off to write a list of what needs doing.
    See you later!

Oh, and 2 pairs of old broken shoes. No idea why I was keeping those. :/

It is wet and miserable here, DH is feeling too rough to go out (he's got a chest cold, didn't sleep and looks very sorry for himself) so I am decluttering my shoes

First step is to collect them all the different places I leave them.

Oh dear, move over Imelda :o.

I'll be back to report in, later on. I'll be gone a while!

    6. Bag of old pegs binned. I was keeping them for when we move house as I might try and dry clothes outside if we have a bigger garden but they look quite grotty and I'm sure I could afford to splash out and buy some new ones if I need to.:D

  • Right a slow start but a start nevertheless!

1 multi colour highlighter pen (yellow had dried up)
2 Part used Liz Earle hand serum (smelt naff and wasn't that effective)
    3 Christmas tree
    4 2 chipped champagne flutes

Going to have a declutter in kitchen later so should find lots more!
It's better to beg forgiveness than ask permission.
  • I've just been right through our office including all the drawers except the paperwork one, which I will do when I have a bit more peace & quiet. It won't take too long as it should be in a pretty good state.

I've one bin bag of recycling, one bin bag of rubbish, two boxes full to ebay and a carrier bag full for charity shop.

I've also decided that I'd like to sort the loft during my week off next week, but that depends on the weather as I don't want to freeze whilst doing it.

    Report from Shoe Mountain:
    - 4 pairs into recycling as they are too painful to wear (I have arthritis)
    - 2 pairs to be listed on eBay (will count if sold).

The rest are in boxes, in order.

Two dressing gowns into recycling (thought they'd already gone!) Large collection of dried up pens, a broken toy and a failed craft kit into bin
Storage tin into CS box, another without a lid into recycling
Photo album, bottle opener and a floral box file into CS box

    Update:
    - notebook, a pack of stickers and a bunch of silk flowers into CS box
    - another storage tin into recycling

Have been thinking of this for a while and have taken the plunge . As a family started yesterday and did all the wardrobes, OH, me and 2 sons (16&11) ..... 1 bin bag full for the bin, 2 large ikea bags full for recycling and lots of swaps between the others . Great start and we all felt much better and I got all the ironing up to date. From this today a large bag of hangers and some jewellery a pair of gloves and 4 scarves to our local charity shop (she was well pleased with the hangers as most people leave clothes and no hangers). Now off to the kitchen and the fridge is next :D
 while i knit i think
