Last (hopefully) of my June cards; I hadn't expected these ones.

One will be a retirement card, another will be congratulations for a friend who's just got a promotion. And I have one to spare :)

My children are all grown up and pushed out of, I mean flown the nest so just DH and I. I'm lucky enough to work my 40 hours a week over four days which gives me a three day weekend every week and DH works shifts which means I get quite a lot of 'me' time ;)

I will be adding more knitting projects to the list as my step daughter is expecting in December. Found out last Sunday and started a little white cardigan that night, gave it to her this Sunday and she was thrilled.

I always think that most of the workers in Hobbycraft don't even craft, as they seem to have no enthusiasm for the stock.

    Thanks tricksie I did wonder!

Well done all. Mrs MP, Carla Marie and Greentiger lovely work. I have nothing to report. I have kept doing a couple of rows of my cross stitch when I'm completely stressed out and diddn't think it'd made much impact but it is surprising how it adds up. The quilt remains stitched together on the bed in the spare room tacked to the wadding. Tartan fleece backing arrived but the 2 haven't stitched themselves together yet. Where are those fairies? I'm crawling through to end of term. Nearly all reports written had a nasty letter from my town council regarding my allotment. Other plot holders do not appreciate poppies! It's hard at this time of year when everything seems to come at once; and I started off so well. TC all
