commutergranny, those bonbonnieres sound so original. My children had a knitted (2 ply) Christening gown too (my best friend made it; she still knits 2 ply shawls) - it was so fine! My DD was first born and the gown had white and pink lace trims. We took them off when it was my DS's turn and replaced them with little blue flower trims. And so it has remained ever since (1979)! None of my grandkids has needed it.

Talking of grandkids, my eldest will be 7 next week, so here's his card.

Well, this is absolutely the last thing I'm making for the wedding on Friday - a postbox to hold cards they receive on the day so they don't get lost.

We're off to the Cairngorms for a wee break after the wedding, so although I'll be watching what's happening here, I won't be working on any challenges. Apart from 1 more card for April and those for May, I haven't decided what I'm going to do next. Actually, does tidying up the craft room count? That's a REAL challenge.

    I agree - that's a real challenge

Enjoy a much deserved break and hope the wedding goes well
  • Two more makes from me. As usual, click on the thumbnail to see the photo full-sized.;)

Firstly, two bunches of crochet radishes so two little girls can re-enact Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny escaping from Mr McGregor's garden!

And a quick make last night - a pen holder for my bullet journal as the puppy always runs off with my pen.

I'm surprised at how many projects I actually do. I usually forget the little things so this is a fabulous way of keeping track. It will slow down once I get going on my quilt though :D

The scarf was a ufo carried over from last year, the hat was just to finish off the ball of wool. I'm really pleased with how it's turned out.

Love these knits, mrs-m. They look so cheery; just what you need on a miserable day.

    Hello everyone

Sorry I have not been about for ages - been busy getting ready for an exhibition the embroiders guild I belong to - I am exhibiting 8 of my stitches (probably could of done more but thought best not too). Most had to get framed. I have done them all myself - most frames I bought in bargain type shops but the big one for the floral alphabet - I bought in ik£a and the twisted band I bought specially from a framers as it is a weird size. I did think of getting it professionally done but they wanted alot of money - money I don't have and they said they didn't lace stitches - they used tape and I was horrified.

Anyway, I thought I would share my pictures with you before I take them to the museum on Saturday. They will be up for a month - I really hope they are ok, feeling really apprehensive with them.

and last but not least - the twisted band sampler (done in memory of my mum - really wish she was alive to see it)

I am going to be there on the opening day and also on the 16th May (afternoon) and 6th June (afternoon). I will just be stitching but plan to take my wee stitches book to do demonstrations of stitches - chosen by members of the public and be there to answer any questions.

So if anyone is an the area you are welcome to come along - if you see me - "hi" I am the wee cuddly red head.

Now I can get back to my stitching - nearly finished part 12 of the learning sampler.

Hope all is well with you all where ever you are.

Wow, everyone is doing so well - lots of BIG projects on the go.

Sweetcarer, your work is fantastic. I will try to get along to see it in the flesh (and you, if I can coordinate myself to fit the times). The exhibition is on for a long run.

I've finished May's cards - May is a quiet month!

I needed 1 x male & 1 x female birthday cards and a sympathy card. The others will go in my "spare" box.
