That would be lovely greentiger - if you can make one of the other Saturdays better I can pop along and meet up with you.
Starting to get really nervous about it all - I put more tape on the back of my frames as I am paranoid they might collapse in the middle of the night and they break. Also, nervous thinking is my work good enough among the other members of the group. I tried so hard to frame them right - scared they might poo poo it saying I should get them professionally done but I can't afford it.
Oh well, I have labels to write up - I have decided I am not selling any - someone at works said I should and make a fortune
Keep well everyone and thank you for all your kindness.

sweetcarer I've posted my comment about your beautiful work on the cafe thread. Don't worry your work is beautiful and the framing looks great.SPC~12 ot 124

Happy to of made my first nappy cake in nearly 3 years
my 15 projects aren't going well as I'm still working on a stocking I started last year. I e devoted some energy to do some creative competitions with my dad and won a 5* weekend break and £1000 Harrods gift card. So shocked, it makes me want to focus on the creative comps rather than crafting!
Going to have a good catchup on all your postsBest wins in 2013 £200 and Mini iPad. 2014 no wins. 2015 2 nights 5* hotel with £300 vouchers plus £1150 Harrods gift card

Sorry I have not been about for ages - been busy getting ready for an exhibition the embroiders guild I belong to - I am exhibiting 8 of my stitches (probably could of done more but thought best not too). Most had to get framed. I have done them all myself - most frames I bought in bargain type shops but the big one for the floral alphabet - I bought in ik£a and the twisted band I bought specially from a framers as it is a weird size. I did think of getting it professionally done but they wanted alot of money - money I don't have and they said they didn't lace stitches - they used tape and I was horrified.
Anyway, I thought I would share my pictures with you before I take them to the museum on Saturday. They will be up for a month - I really hope they are ok, feeling really apprehensive with them.
My two blackworks - or as I call them purpleworks part one & two
My four seasons
The floral alphabet (done in memory of my late husband)
and last but not least - the twisted band sampler (done in memory of my mum - really wish she was alive to see it)
I am going to be there on the opening day and also on the 16th May (afternoon) and 6th June (afternoon). I will just be stitching but plan to take my wee stitches book to do demonstrations of stitches - chosen by members of the public and be there to answer any questions.
So if anyone is an the area you are welcome to come along - if you see me - "hi" I am the wee cuddly red head.

Now I can get back to my stitching - nearly finished part 12 of the learning sampler.
Hope all is well with you all where ever you are.

Hello
It is a wicked day out there - perfect day for stitching but I will be making a vegetarian lasange later (we are not vegetarian but we enjoy this and its gets us part of our 5 a day:) ). Might get some stitching after.
Well dropped off all my stitches at the exhibition ready to be set up this week - ready for the opening on Saturday - one of them have been hung before, so hopefully they will be ok. I have no influence on how they will be hung. I did print out (and laminated) a piece of paper for the twisted band showing each band and what stitch is within the band. Don't know if they will use it or not.
Anyway, I managed to do some stitching last night and finished off the latest band in the learning sampler - band 12. So I am now about two-thirds of the way through. This band contained, cross stitch, ray stitch and a new one - rhodes heart stitch.

Hope all are well and thank you once again for all your kind comments.

sweetcarer, I love your work. I can see how much love you put into it.
I'm counting a superfast (an afternoon) project towards my total today. (makes a change from cards, which I count as 1 project for the whole year, lol)

I've finally done one of my projects. My first nappy cake in 2 1/2 years. I. Have so much baby stuff as I was making lots of nappy cakes but became too ill. I hope people still buy nappy cakes. This is a bad photo, I'm pleased with how it came out seeing as my mum purchased various patterned things which clashed so had to find a way to tie the colours in togetherBest wins in 2013 £200 and Mini iPad. 2014 no wins. 2015 2 nights 5* hotel with £300 vouchers plus £1150 Harrods gift card
