  • Sweetcarer. I have just seen your beautiful cakes , which I'm sure were yummy & saw your post about how your efforts were ignored. It happened to my aunt at her son's wedding, she made 5 dresses & 2waistcoats & drove bridesmaids & then the bride to church. The speeches only mentioned the brides parents who simply paid for the meal.
Anyway you are more talented than your sister (or she would have done cake) & definitely a better person, as she should have made your involvement very clear to everyone.

    Hi ladies

I've added my latest make to the flickr group. It's my nieces birthday on Saturday and she asked me for something frozen.
I have already got her the snow globe wand and have engraved a jar with her name on one side and a picture of the frozen sisters on the back. I then filled this with little bits and bobs, sweets, hair bands, lipsticks etc.

I was pushed for time so the pics not brilliant (jar is filled, rather than a block of colour to see properly) but if you look closely you can see! Lol!

I have also been making a sign for my hallway (im going for a nautical theme) ive just got to paint some birds on and add the rope hanging. I'll upload a pic when it's finished

Sweetcarer, your cake and urs are brilliant. I hope your feeling better about the whole situation?

Greentiger, your cards are always very sharp and professional looking.

I'll find out if any got taken while DD3 was at work, it wasn't really anything special she bought a long green skirt and was wearing a long sleeved flesh coloured top but wanted something that didn't loook too bra like as she wasn't sure what would be appropriate in a nursery so she cut the straps off a lilac vest top then cut the back off leaving a boob tube with a triangle shaped tail down the front. All I did was edged and hemmed round the cut edges and she twisted the tail and tucked it back over through itself to make a bandeau type top that was rushed up at the front. She also dyed her hair bright red a la Ariel.
I'm hoping I get lessons in how to post photo from the iPad at the weekend for other makes

    That sounds very clever, mrs-m.

I finished my March cards (unless anything unexpected comes up). Just one boy's birthday card, plus my usual spare, lol.

I couldn't add my photos to the thread but I've put them in the flicker feed if anyone wants to see the baby blanket and the cross stitch retirement gift ( that just needs the personalisation adding and framing)
