speakingofart - Thank you for the reassurance! I have been out of the system for quite a while now and thought I may have missed the window of the opportunity, but I shall keep positive and call up the Post Grad admin on Monday if I do not hear back via email.
Hope your graduation went well- congratulations! I hope you struck some batman poses in your gown! :rotfl:
traveller - Oh no! I have to admit I did laugh when you described how your oven gave up the ghost in the manner that it did. Sounds very frustrating though!
Les Mis sounds like a superb debt-free treat!! :T
Bob - Still loving the term 'side- hustles' Some great money making there! 6 days? You can do it!!
Lilt - Please look after yourself, and try and reduce your WTW where you can! Get well soon to you and lil tot!
Fmess - Woohooo, congrats! :j
abundant - Hello! We have missed you! I am sorry to hear that things have not quite worked out as planned, but you are in the right place for moral support and getting back into the old MSE ways! When I first became debt free I took a few months out to register the new status as it were, but actually found it quite difficult initially to sustain. I have found that I am so much better now that I have returned to the boards, the on-going support, tips and challenges definitely keep you motivated. You can do this! Look forward to catching up with you- onwards and upwards indeed!!x

Happy Weekend, Turtles!!
Hooray! The weekend has arrived and I am shattered!!
Have visited my ma and sister this evening and have stayed for dinner and a catch up, which has been incredibly lovely and relaxing!
Hoping to get one more use out of my zoo pass this weekend before it expires next week, so a lovely free/ cheap day out! :TJust For Fun Mini Challenge
This week's mini challenge is just for fun although it will also hopefully encourage some to seek out where the bargains hide in your local supermarket or to learn the best times to visit your supermarket for when they are reducing items!
My challenge to you, dear turtles is to see who can find the most fantastic bargain in the reduced section of your local supermarket. These tend to be items that are marked down with yellow stickers (colour may vary depending on supermarket) You do not have to commit to buying, just let us know what amazing bargains you find- the more unusual the better! If you do not visit a supermarket, or very rarely do then you can alternatively look out for other reduced bargains in other shops.
The contender who finds the best bargain find for under 50p shall be crowned Ninja Saving Turtle of the Week! :j
The mini challenge will run until the 30th of January and the NST of the week will be announced on the 31st of January!
Happy Bargain Hunting!!:T:coffee:

Good morning everyone!
I have woken up to some exciting new and needed to share it with you all! I have been invited to an interview for a graduate job that I REALLY want. Now, on the downside the interview is about 200 miles away from where I live, so with fuel costs, overnight stay, food, it is going to cost me about £150. But I have to do it! I would never forgive myself if I passed on this opportunity. So, budgets are being reorganised to fit this in. Keep your fingers crossed for me!0 -

Thanks both of you. It's in South wales. I have booked the hotel already as there was a 40% off discount. It's a lovely hotel with pool and spa so hubby and I are going to make a little trip out of it. It's a month away yet but I am feeling really excited about it.0

Aha! I thought that your name indicated that you LIVED in Wales! Then I thought of 200 miles from there and figured you'd be on my doorstep.
Go you making it a time to remember with hubby.
