Hello I'm still here but not doing anything of interest at the moment.
Up to 16sfd and I've spent 54.39 so far. Been eating loads of soup and homemade dinners, so at least I've started eating better and I feel a lot better for it.
Anyway off for a look around the boards.

Good evening!
Work for me today and it was sooooo quiet and boring! Took lunch and drink supplies with me so it was a SFD.
tonight's meal was homemade lasagne. Was yummy. Also bunged some sausages in the oven while it was cooking. Will reheat these for children's food flasks tomorrow and they can take finger rolls to make hot dogs. I will also use a couple for a sausage sandwich for myself tomorrow.
Thanks mothernerd Have decided my shop this week will come from feb budget, but I will add what I have left over from this month to next months budget (about £25).
Today I am thankful for
Having time in work to make some progress with assignments (but don't tell anyone that's what I was doing)
Weekend pay enhancements
DS being excited about going back to school tomorrow0 -

Hi guys
SFD blown on £2 of chocolate and I am not even sorry! Still stuck at 15 but I am sure I can manage 3 more
Bought various throat and cough relieving medicines whilst out, got chocolate and 4 pints of milk. Will still have to go out tomorrow to do a *proper* shop for the odd store cupboard things that have run out. Doing ok on the eating front. Cooking a lot with lentils and all from scratch but as I do, things like tomato puree, garlic paste, lemon juice & oregano have finished so need to get more.
Thanks for the well wishes. I've got a sinus infection and a possible chest infection too. Docs tomorrow. Have been very good and barely done anything today plus had a long steamy shower. Fresh homemade bread would have got me through the day to tomorrow without spending if it wasn't for my pesky chocolate obsession! Have devoured a share size bag of giant chocolate buttons. Oops.
Today I am grateful for:
- CHOCOLATE :rotfl:
- Support and friendship both on and offline
- Videos of Jelly wearing workout gloves she had put on herself
- FaceTime with MiL & Mum separately today

Thought I better show myself with a quick update, it's been a few days as I've been busy with cakes and work. I have 4 cakes this coming week!!!
Groceries: £130/£100
Travel: £29.30/£50
SFD: 12/20 (I think!)
My travel is well low below what I budgeted. It's my last day of work for the month tomorrow and my sister is giving me a lift. I somehow managed to forget that I had a couple of days holiday booked! Kind of makes up for the over spend on the groceries.
Checked my PayPal account today as we've done a fair bit of eBaying and there's over £100 in it! I'm going to leave £10 for eBay fees and have some to cover all the postage but still it's a good little earner. I've started a jar to add all the money we're gaining by selling stuff so we can see it build up and have a treat or pay for our holiday.
Looking forward to the end of the month if I'm honest so I can have a glass of wine! Must've saved at least £20 by not drinking.Overdraft: [STRIKE]£529[/STRIKE] £199 BC: [STRIKE]£697.82[/STRIKE] £1974.02 MBNA: [STRIKE]£1874[/STRIKE] £517.00 -
Congrats on the interview welshkitty!! :j - I have only visited the South of Wales and it is lovely- Especially Breacon! Spent a lot of time around the Cardiff area as well as my ex was from there.
Lilt - Feel better soon! Can not believe you did not share any choccy buttons with us chocy deprived Turtles!!
cupcake-queen - Good luck with all of your cake making this week!I like the plans for your paypal fund and congrats on the money saved by not drinking!!
All this talk of chocolate and cake is making me hungry....midnight feast anyone??
I have had 2 spendy days this weekend! Food top up shop on Saturday, along with fuel (I am over my grocery budget by £14 after a trip to Aldi to purchase a loft ladder for my Ma on Saturday and spotting cheap food staples to stock up on whilst I was in there!) However I am £20 under on the fuel budget! Today's expense was the result of visiting the zoo with our membership cards which run out tomorrow, having had such a great time, I decided to renew mine (15% discount for renewal) as I visit nearly once a month, which has saved so much money this last year (approx £160 saved!) Stuck it on my cash back CC, so will clear that at the end of the month as I usually do with my other spends on it (Fuel and food normally).
I have received my 2 month free tastecard (Thanks MSE!) :money: So will register that and make use of it over the next couple of months. I imagine that will pay for half of a pre or post valentines meal for me and my other half :T

* Fantastic day at the zoo- I love the Red Pandas and wolves! Watched some lovely displays and talks and learnt a lot. OH and I have decided we will make a list of all the animals and try to go over the next year to at least one of the talks for every species, to learn something new!
*Relaxing weekend catching up with my Mum and my Sister.
*Lovely dinner cooked by OH's lush Mum!
N'Night Turtles, approaching the final home run for January! You have all been fantastic! All having saved money in some shape or form, big or small! This journey is about changing habits and mind sets as well as the financial stuff, so give yourselves a pat on the back! :T:coffee:
