Hello, not had a chance to read properly yet as the internet at work was down so far.

Sat went to a 4th birthday party and got the most ridiculous party bag ever. They probably spend 3x the value of the present we bought the child as it was just DS's pal from the old nursery. It had two toys in it, bubbles, sweets and a rubber sword. Crazy

Sunday I want food shopping with the kids and DS lasted being dragged through 3 shops. Baba was sleeping anyway. Tried Farmfood for the first time as it is on the way to Aldee/Lidldiddle and stocked up on some frozen meats etc. Will see what they are like. Also went to Liddle for mostly fruit, veg, toiletries, etc and Tesco for cat litter and wipes. So that was a total of just over £100 on food and household  on top of my already blown budgets. But I went through the receipt and there was no treats or anything in there. But loads of the things should (:()last well into February !?

Made £37 pounds profit from ebay after postage, fees etc.

On Saturday night we had friends round for dinner (the first dinner "party" since DD was born or even longer as I was pregnant before that) and I caved in. I had two glasses of red wine with dinner. Felt disappointed I failed Dry January, but I nearly made 4 weekends and might as well try now and get to the middle of February (birthday) without a drink.

    Hiya....

So... I channeled a bit of NSK this week (or last week depending how you look at it) so haven't really been online very much at all.
Ended up working all day Monday, half day Tuesday, then all day Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Then got a phone call at 15:30 yesterday and ended up working nightshift on Sunday night.

Hoping to pay off a massive chunk of the credit card in March. Hopefully. (no council tax to pay and extra shifts). Fingers crossed.
    :o

Total of 16 out of 18 spend free days.... so far...
    :j

We went shopping and botched it... I blame OH spending over £10 on fruit and veg alone!! For a week!!!!!

We are looking at a brand new way of doing finances which sounds brilliant. Even stevens as they say.
We are both paying £900 into an account and all bills will be paid from it. This includes all car bills, bongo bills, mortgage, loans... everything except my credit card debt.
This leaves OH with £600 to spend on whatever he wants and me with £700 in total (however £400 goes into the budget account).

    It's all looking rather good.
    :D

    Hope everyone is doing okay.
    Hugs to all the turtleys.

    That's low??

I thought that was extremely high for one person. It's only for seven days. That's just under £1.50 a day just on fruit and veg!!

In case I miss it as I have a mixture of work and preparing for my Dad's 60th birthday party, can whoever is doing February's challenge (I can't remember who it is) add me in please??

The way I go through fruit and veg, it is low :o Not even counting kids or OH. Just me in a week: bag of apples, 5-7 bananas, bag of grapes, 6 tomatoes, some blueberries/strawberries, 1 cucumber, salad head, my share of potatoes, onions, carrots and other veg. like peppers, mushrooms. Easily a tenner. Plus I thought it was for two as you blamed OH for spending a tenner.

Just been totting up my spends, had a little spend this morning..keeping track of what I am spending has made me realise how much the dog is eating and whether I could save some pennies by buying bulk!

Total food spend so far this month £83.93/100, that's including a few bottles of wine. Only £10.01 on fuel; last months fill up has managed to get me through..guess i have been driving less due to being poorly. Paid another £46 on CC today.:j

I have just started dating and wondered if anyone has any advice on how to manage my pennies? I'm trying to be frugal which I guess does not go hand in hand with dating!? He wants to meet for lunch quite frequently and I just cannot afford to if I want to get myself out of debt. He also lives the other side of a toll bridge and has invited me out next week, he has always been to me before which is an hour' car journey. I have cooked quite a few meals to try and save on going out but I hate not paying my way, is stopping dating the only option?

    Hi all
Definately not a NSD today just bought the first of 18 books for DD's 18th BD in March. That was a planned spend before my free month trial for @m@zon p***e expires. However, half of the £80 was on books for school. Grr cross with myself. Did take lunch and eat rest of chilli made before weekend and put in freezer with some pitta 'chips'
struggling to find 3 things to be grateful for so
    1) I have a job
    2) my hot shower this morning
    3) Cuddles
Blubella do you know him well enough to be honest. At least then he won't think you're not interested?
