I love the easter decorations posh really lovely.

Well yesterday I went round the chazzer shops  What fantastic buys there are out there. One shop I went in someone in my size had had a massive clearout of hobbs, phase eight, coast and ghost dresses still all tagged  One had a £295 price tag on it :eek:Which was up for £30 which I thought was a very fair price.Did I buy any NO I walked away as I dont need them ! Unheard of for me.

What I did buy was a nice make plain white T shirt which I needed as ruined my white one gardening in it (how daft was that)
a nice Black T shirt which I will wear a lot
A pair of brand new Rieker red leather sandals for £5 They are in the posh shoe shop almost next door for £79 so thought they were a good buy which will be worn.So spent in total £9.50 :)

I am so much more selective now after joining this challenge so thank you everyone.

Have a lovely few days break and happy selective spending :D

  • I have some spend to declare for March. One pair of jeans, two pairs of comfy ballet slippers for summer footwear and one pair of black heels for when I need to dress up and be smart.
All things I's planned to get to plug wardrobe gaps. Total spend £189 bringing the overall total to £238.99.
I'm still spending a bit more per item and buying less and I decluttered a full bag to the charity shop from my wardrobe.

I bought 3 x cotton tshirts at £7.99 each and a zip up fleece (£21) for when I take children swimming after Easter. Just need some track suit bottoms/shorts now.
Couldn't keep wearing my leggings and hoodie too thin and too much VPL.
    So that's a wopping 44.97. Half-way through the budget.

I am also going to declare a no spend on clothes for March and for this year. I didn't go to Crawley today instead I have been cleaning the house ( we have builders in and I am trying to keep the dust down). So I haven't been tempted by the shops. Have a wedding next week - hopefully will still fit into my wedding dress ( bought it in Hobbs - it is cream and navy blue).

    £0/£600 spent

Managed to fit into my dress. So no spend for the wedding. Wore all the same accessories that I bought for my sisters wedding a few years ago.
    Clothing budget still intact. 0/£600

Pitty we don't all live near each other, we could go in each other's shops :)
My news is the pink mac I bought from Ebay was not the right colour pink for me - too beige and made me look half dead  so it's gone back on Ebay along with a few other bits and bobs. I did weaken with a charity shop buy last week but just £4.50 so not too bad.

Well done to those who had a no spend March :j

Could you dye the mac the shade of pink you're looking for?

  • Good morning all

Ok so a bit of a mixed up month for me on the clothes front.

I succumbed to a autumnal/spring floral pattern ,brand new tagged dress on fleabay- £7.87
And day before bought a great Ja$p3r C0nr^n silk top from Cs shop -asymmetric slashed neckline and colours are mossygreen flashes of fushia with mottled grey and blacks
    £3.50

Funny not been in Cs for ages and went in two that have recently had a store refits-they look great bit am pretty sure the prices generally had gone up too - the stock wasn't really much better than other Cs either. Stock had gone up 50p -75p for tops and extra £1-£2 for skirts/trousers- bogs standard well worn dresses were now hitting£8.99 mark and tenner plus for coats- needless to say I didn't buy from those two shops- it was just overpriced for the low quality.

So my question to all is - what prices are the average, for Cs shop purchases in your area?

I might join this! I'm losing weight this year and need to ensure I don't spend money on clothes until I've lost a bit more weight. Otherwise they wont fit! I also have a show habit. When I see a pair of converse/doc martens that I haven't seen before or have wanted for a while it's tempting to buy them!

I've already spent some money this year on clothes. I am planning on my spends adding up to this this year:

Footwear - £80 - already spent £22 on Converse in the sale and I need new flip flops for holiday and formal shoes for my friend's wedding, I have no formal shoes!

Summer clothes - (for holiday) - £50 - already spent £15 in Primark.

New underwear - £30 (already spent as my hips are now a size smaller than my jean size! I lose weight weirdly)

Other clothes £100 - ONLY when I've lost weight for replacement items like jeans, this includes my costly bras!

So my total this year is going to: £260 - £67 already spent, so just under £200 in total for the rest of the year.

Edit: I forgot the dress for my friend's wedding... I don't know what to budget for this! I'm thinking £50... So make my new total £310
