Well done Daisy - you must be chuffed. :D

Hello to all the new people too, hope you all have good first weeks. :hello:

My day has been pretty good so far, I had a couple too many Oreos in a meeting earlier and then was thinking on the bus back to work about all the food I was craving. However, instead of giving in, I went to TKMaxx and bought new workout gear. I'd been thinking about getting something to celebrate a) losing 60lbs and b) that I am actually enjoying exercise. Trouble is, it could turn into a very expensive habit if I splurge instead of eating each time :rotfl:
    Joint account: £23,949/£25,000
    F**k It Fund: £17,000/£17,000
    Liquid Cash: £8,300/£10,000
    Mortgage Overpayment: £1200/£2400
    Birthdays and Christmas: £850/£1200

Good to see you both back rfd and psycho! Sometimes you just have to wait until your head's in the right place.

More losses rolling in. Excellent daisy but every single pound counts!!:T

I haven't been watching sewing bee mim but I googled and looks like suitably vintage for your style. I was thinking of you only yesterday when I saw this
    http://www.johnlewis.com/hobbs-twitchill-dress-lawn-green/p1875428
in John Lewis. It's the most beautiful fabric but madly expensive.

I was buying a top for myself. Now I know some changing room mirrors are anything but forgiving but I felt I looked wrinkly/scrawny. I went to WI this morning and lost 1.5 lbs so I'm under target weight. I'm not expecting sympathy but I did have 4 off plan meals plus wine last weekend so didn't see that coming. I think I'm just so locked in to eating SW. Lunchtime today I could have had something synful but just fancied the bubble & squeak and pickles I'd planned. It's a shame it's not Easter yet as we're going away for a few days and I could have indulged.

Interestingly there was absolutely no mention of SP at my group today. Perhaps, although it's in the book it will only be recommended like Success Express used to be. Lots of moans and groans about the SW meals though. Many don't like them but have them going begging in the freezer as they bought them with the vouchers. Mixed views on the sausages. Also, apparently our local Iceland has very low stock. Consultant seemed to think they were also on offer but I can see they're not available online until new stock comes in.

So far today I've had SW breakfast (Puffed Wheat) and lunch (bubble & squeak) but tonight I'm off for an Indian.:D

nice dress maman. I love the colour :D

There was no mention of SP at the introduction last night either - the consultant is against it as she does think it is giving people the right message. She also mentioned that newbies are not allowed to do SP for at least 2 months. I dont really know what to make of that tbh..

On top of that she also advised that if i wanted to excercise then i could but that she didnt think that it helped with the weight loss. She advised that it is the eating of the speed foods that is the best thing to do.. I completely disagree with her sentiments. I think exercise IS important. I choose to ignore this advice tbh.. others may take it to heart though.

as for the meals - i love them. I have tried the sausages this week ( i like the citrus tang to them). Massive fan of the sweet potato curry, the chicken tikka, the salmon & also the meatball pasta. On top of that they are massive portions so a side of veg is all you need. :T

I can't answer that Lucy but I know it's partly because so many of the ingredients (lean pork, herbs and spices) are free. I suppose the amount of oil, sugar and cornflour in the (not very big) sachet of sauce is so low they ignore it.

The SW recipe for pulled pork (never tried it yet because the Tesco one is so painless) is also free but far more logical because it uses sweetener and mustard powder.
  • Afternoon all :)

Reporting a loss of 3lbs again this week! :j
Very pleased with that considering we had a chinese takeaway last night. Decided to have half boiled rice and half fried rice so it didn't feel so naughty. Plus we had dishes low (ish) on syns with plenty of veggies but I can never finish a takeaway anyway so only had half.

Today I went to the dentists to have a temporary crown put in so feeling a bit rubbishy and sore today.

B - scrambled eggs bacon and beans, cup of tea
L - wasn't very hungry so half a bowlful of HM veg soup
T - chicken and leek pie loaded with veg

Had no HEB yet may have oats with muller lite for supper

No syns yet - probably a tassimo latte later

Welcome to the newcomers and lots of luck on your SW journey :hello:
Well done all losers and STSers and NSVers this week. My jeans are definitely feeling looser and I can see my body shape changing in the mirror, so exciting to see :D

Have a lovely sunshiney afternoon/evening everyone

    maman,

I have not yet tried it so didn't realise there was a sachet of sauce included, I was thinking it was already on the meat. So is it already cooked but has extra sauce?
I have not got a Tesco that near to me but wonder if other supermarkets do something similar? It sounds very yummy!
