    Evening all

Have had a really busy day today and feeling absolutely kn@ackered now.

Went for decent walk (well for me that is :p) first thing. Went on a shopping trip with DH and ended up in Dorothy Perkins and brought home with me.

Decided to return it as its a wee bit snug on the lower half but the next size up will be too baggy. Its also a bit shorter than I would have liked. Its a lovely pistachio colour and looked quite flattering considering there wasn't any 'shapewear' in place. :rotfl:

We went for a coffee (americanos all round), got back home grabbed a couple of fried eggs and beans and a pear and then set about cutting our lawns, my next door neighbours and then took the lawnmower down to mums and did hers while the weather was so gorgeous. Pasta, with loads of the very lean chunky cooking bacon from Sainsbobs, got a huge bag of cherry toms (around 750g for 50p) put a good few of them in, red peppers, mushrooms, red onions and it was scrummy. Fresh fruit salad and yoghurt for afters.

Have read all the posts up to date but too many to comment on individually, so I will just say well done to all the fab losers :T and welcome to the newbies and returnees .

I think once I settle down to watch tv I will be nodding off :rotfl:

Well done to the above mentioned losers _party_

Just really wanted to address a matter of Fibre in the diet.

To those who's bowels seem sluggish, lack of FIBRE could be the reason.

I have been following the eating plans, but needed gentle persuasion via laxatives to be able to go to the loo.

Here is an excerpt fron teh NHS website:
I know it is obvious, but I made the mistake of not eating enough fibre, I ate tons of oranges, but no fibre there unless I ate the skin (Yuk!).

    Hope this helps someone

I am now trying the Overnight Oats to see how that helps.

Thanks Smedley. It seems to be a constant struggle for me atm. I try to include a lot of the things above and make sure I get plently of fluids down me and yet I still have problems. Had the overnight oats last night but still waiting for a bit of movement so far today :o. Oh well - will see what happens before bedtime. :rotfl:

    Thanks Blue

I was never a daily person, my body always had it's own rhythm.
The first week was great on the plan, but since then I have to join the no goers club, lol

Really trying to do the plan right, also trying to get on top of the going thing, holding onto it is not blooming good for the challenge.

If anyone else has tips on how they solved this, please share.

I've been MIA from reading the thread for the last week or so, so am out of the loop and don't have time to read back on everything but I hope everyone is keeping well :)

Mich city, Mrs Ryan & Tweets hope you are still with us??

Thanks, I'm still plodding along here ;)

Great losses coming in and well done to those with shinies :T

It's not the curse of the SOTW magnet for me, it's the MSE challenge curse.. Last two attempts at it saw me fail miserably and gain each time :rotfl: 3 losses on the run with another 2lb off this week.. 1lb to go to be at my lightest weight again.. Hope I've turned the corner, but don't want to get too complacent with that thought!

Hiya - touching wood, I think I've solved the problem I was having earlier with accessing MSE (time will tell).

I made some soup earlier with onion, half a Savoy cabbage, some potato and a bit of broccoli. DH and I had a bowl and a half for lunch and can't stop weeing!

Re the fibre issue, limiting the amount of bread and cereal we eat must have an affect, so it's useful to know of other foods that we can eat to provide enough fibre to keep us regular. I'm definitely not as regular as I was but I've increased my fluid intake this week and I've eaten more oranges, kiwis and a few prunes and that seems to be working.

There are some great losses coming in this week, well done everybody. :T

Lucylastic - there are a number of branded foods that are classed as free food on SW that don't really make sense - you can eat sliced beef in gravy out of a tin, yet if you cook your own beef and add gravy, the gravy has to be syned. The trick is to trust the system, it does work even with anomalies. Just make the most of them.

Nice to know you're having good weather in the UK at the moment, the weather here in Spain is awful! We've been firmly under a cloud all day, it's blowing a hooley, and there's heavy rain forecast for tomorrow. Dh's golf has been cancelled and we've hardly ventured out all day.

Love the dresses. The Hobbs one is pricey, but their clothes are very good quality, I used to favour them when I had a 'proper' job.

Just been watching an interesting programme about how much sugar we all eat as a nation, it's shocking how much there is in foods you don't expect.

Kind of the same with Branded Soups vs Home made vs other Low Fat Soups
Don't like this "Push the Brand" policy, they get their money for the advice, not to up-sell.

Just had my Overnight Oats, surprisingly tasty :).
