Hi, would love to join in. My first week weigh in on 18/3/15 lost -4lb. Lots more to go! Do you set goals on here or just log weekly loss?Jan Grocery challenge

Well done on your loss and managing to 'go' Lois :rotfl:
Our consulant has been doing SW groups forever and is pretty good at not plugging stuff, although she did say quite a lot about the new ready meals - including the fact that our local Iceland was selling out of them faster than they could stock the fridge! I've still not indulged even though it's right by my work and I could pop in there quickly before I go home.chocolatepennyfarthing wrote: »Hi, would love to join in. Welcome! We report our weekly losses (or gains if we have to) but run challenges over usually about 8 weeks. I think the current one is until early May? If you want to join in post what you want to lose for that period in red and big for Shala who keeps our records and then post your weekly weigh ins as you go

Morning all. Woke up and couldn't work out why the house was so dark!! Caught the tail end of the eclipse, it was really weird without the sun. My poor wee cat was freaked right out!
Smedley and b_e_g re the fibre issue - I find that having the same hexb every day really slows things down. I try and mix it up as much as possible and will have prunes every so often - they're a bit minging but do the trick! I also have lots of speed fruit, pulses and drink at least 3 litres of water every day. A strong coffee can also be very effective if you're feeling sluggish!!
LoisLane great loss, it must be fabulous living out in Spain.
:hello: chocolatepenningfarthing welcome to the thread
Lovely and sunny here today but I have a ton of college work to do so I'll be stuck inside all day. Hopefully get a few drinks and a catchup with a friend tonight, that'll be the syns gone to pot!! :rotfl:
b: speed fruit, yogurt
l: hm split pea soup, hexb bread
d: hm quorn cottage pie, speed veggies, beans
snacks will be sf jelly, 3 litres of nas diluting juice and 3x babybel lights (hexa). the rest of the syns will be the alcohol0 -

Thanks a lot Daisy, psychopathbabble, BEG, and anyone I forgot to name...
With my eating plan I am losing well, in fact, I am eating like a King, but I am still learning, so all advice is welcome.
I will certainly try and mix it up a bit + fibre bars, Overnight Oats, porridge, Buckwheat flakes, gluten free muesli, Prunes, nuts.
I will have to see if I can make some gluten free type fibre bars, just got a shock to find most fibre/protein bars cost £1-£2 a bar.
These seem more reasonable at 61p per bar

If anyone has any more ideas for gluten free fibre/protein bars please post, looks like I will need a bank loan soon
I am guessing there are alternate sources which will keep me from raiding my piggy bank :grinheart

I try to keep changing my hebs Daisy, usually wholemeal bread/oats/prunes/almonds/hifis. Think DH is going to take out a contract with Dynorod :rotfl::rotfl:
Weather is not bad today but nowhere near as warm as yesterday.
Spotted Dark Espresso Magnums in Sainsbobs this morning nom nom. If I saved all my syns on Monday (wi day) I might have one as a little treat.

:T great lois I'm soooo pleased for you and all other losers.:DLucy_Lastic wrote: »maman,
I have not yet tried it so didn't realise there was a sachet of sauce included, I was thinking it was already on the meat. So is it already cooked but has extra sauce?
I have not got a Tesco that near to me but wonder if other supermarkets do something similar? It sounds very yummy!
You have to cook it for a while (1.5hrs?) and then add the sauce just before the end. I don't have a very local Tesco either so I tend to buy a couple for the freezer when I'm near one. I don't know about BBQ pork but there are lots of other SMs that do things like lamb shanks in gravy that are free.
I don't eat yogurt or cereal bars or pasta and sauce so have never really got involved with SW and advertising. I suppose they're not too bad compared with WW but realise they are missing out on a money making opportunity hence the ready meals.
I have either Puffed Wheat, Shreddies or occasionally Weetabix when I have cereal lois. I only have cereal about once a week anyway. Puffed Wheat gives a generous portion but it is bland (I like it that way) like unflavoured popcorn. Fruit perks it up if necessary.Am here reading regularly just not posting

That's what matters mildredd. Plenty of room for you here when you're ready.:Achocolatepennyfarthing wrote: »Hi, would love to join in. My first week weigh in on 18/3/15 lost -4lb. Lots more to go! Do you set goals on here or just log weekly loss?
Welcome CPF. I'm sure when the lovely shala comes on she'll help you with the challenge. Meanwhile just keep posting.
What a coincidence about that dress greentiger. I thought it was delightful and the fabric felt wonderful. I liked your dress too beg, shame about the fit.
I've had SW breakfast (beans on toast), going to make an omelette thing using up mushrooms and potatoes for lunch. We're out at a formal dinner tonight in my size 8;) dress!0 -
Many thanks for the info Smedley. Would love to join the challenge and will have 10lb as my target, please can you log my loss this week off it. Can someone confirm when challenge finishes please.

Had a change of plan for lunch as there wasn't half a tin of beans in the fridge as I thought! So instead of jacket potato & beans I had a couple of Ryvitas and cheese (0.5 HEA/HEB). Will have the rest this evening as a snack.
