Morning you lovely lot. Shala -4.5 off for me :j

Given how much I have struggled over the past few weeks I am absolutely delighted to finally get a result. Only things I have done differently is not used my hex's for cereal and milk every day, and gone to the gym. I am thinking about buying a size 12 bikini and hanging it up as a reminder of what I want to achieve this year!

lantanna we are the same age! Meg72 dating isn't any easier in your 30s, I have completely given up on the whole thing. It just seems like an enormous amount of hassle for not very much reward!! :rotfl: Think my poor mum is despairing of ever seeing grandchildren haha.

b: big bowl of speed fruit, yogurt
    l: hm soup, hexb bread,
d: hm quorn cottage pie, beans, broccoli

snacks will be sugarfree jelly, nas diluting juice and 3 x babybel light (hexa)

Just thought i would let everyone know i have decided to definitely join up on Tuesday. Contacted the women who runs the group near me via Facebook and she seems lovely. I am slightly nervous about it!

Have just ordered my food shop using the free seven day menu on the site to start off with that on Monday, I cant believe how much food there is, I eat very little normally and normally run on coffee until around lunch time so it will be a shock to the system!

Also attempted to do the first day of Couchto5K last night, i have wanted to do it for a while but never got round to it. I managed to do 3 or 4 of the runs, which is ok considering i probably haven't run since being in school. Hoping to get back to the gym next week too.

Have tried to lose weight so many times before but i just never stick to it so hoping this won't end up the same. I think knowing i'm going to get weighed every week will make me stick to it. The only other time i ever managed to stick to it was when i did a sponsored slim, again i knew i was getting weighed at the end of it. I lost around a stone and a half in 3 months, Then fell pregnant with my second child! I must admit since having my second i now find it a lot harder to lose weight. I used to be able to just majorly cut back calories for a week or two and hit the gym hard and lose a stone but since my second came along i need to work super hard just to lose a few pounds.

    Morning all :)

Sorry for not being around much, I've been having problems getting onto the site on both the tablet and laptop, not sure what the problem is but it only seems to be affecting MSE for some reason.

It's been an interesting week, what with dinners and lunches out, but I'm resisting the temptation to have a sneaky peak before tomorrow. I really need to lose something, otherwise drastic measures will be needed!

Well done Daisy, that's a really good result, that size 12 bikini will fit you in no time.

Great result in Sainsburys Jocko, still laughing at the image of the clown trousers falling down. :rotfl:

Denise - hope we get to see the end result of the dressmaking. I've done quite a bit in the past, and bought a little sewing machine in The Range, mainly for taking clothes in as they get too big. It struggles with heavier fabrics like jeans but it should cope ok with lightweight material so I might have a go at a summer dress later in the year.

Have a good day everyone. Hope to be able to get onto the site tomorrow to report my result.

    LL :)

Love all the talk of dressmaking. I started last year, after not making anything for over 30 years, and that was under supervision at school! Last year I made a vintage skirt only to find it was a little too tight at the waist so need to lose another inch so I can wear it. Last week I finished making a vintage blouse to go with it and that was more successful. It was the first time I'd attempted darts. Today I have a seamstress friend coming round to help me make a start on a ballgown. It is loosely based on the 'walkaway dress' featured in the Great British Sewing Bee. Just hope it turns out alright as its an awful lot of material to waste. I'm really enjoying the designing element and knowing I'll have something unique at the end of it. Of course it could be so unique its unwearable :rotfl: :rotfl:

Crabapple I so understand re the exercise. I've only had my fitbit 2 weeks but I've taken to walking the streets at night :rotfl: just so I can make up the 10,000 steps. Aiming to achieve this once or twice a week to start with.

Anyone tried the Chicken Supreme on the website? Think I might give it a try soon.

I really must be getting back on board if I am actually making things of the website and not turning my nose up at it lol

Mich city, Mrs Ryan & Tweets hope you are still with us??

Daisy I have given up as well, if it is meant to happen it will happen that's what I keep telling myself but I'm not going to go out looking for it right now. I'm happy enough single!! Its only once in a blue moon I actually like a man, doesn't happen very often at all!

I love jocks weight saving ideas! Well, they make me laugh, I don't think I'll be going to WI with no undies on  The first couple of months I weighed with my trainers on, then one week I knew I'd not stuck to plan very well so took them off - 0.5lb loss that week ;)

This is why I always take these huge weight losses with a pinch of salt, like when they were saying people in head office lost 12lb in a week doing SP or someone in our region loses 10lb her first week.

I know I can easily increase my weight by at least half a stone without much effort, I could easily do 10lbs.

    Eat a massive meal
    Drink loads of water
    jeans
    jumper/ t-shirt
    Underwear
Stick my wallet full of coins in my pocket

I lost 12lb my first two weeks, I know at least half of that was fake, I literally staggered to my first meeting after eating a chinese takeaway feast and drinking 4 pints of water.
  • Hi everyone, I'm back (yet again) having rejoined SW last night and also agreed to do a small job for my consultant to make myself go every week and STAY!

Have made a rough meal plan for the next week which should help. We also need to tighten our belts and be more careful with food shopping among other things.

I'm bridesmaid in just over 3 weeks and would like to lose 10lb before our holiday on 24th April... during which I am sure I will put it back on, we are heading to USA and celebrating my 30th while I'm there.

However, I'm going to try and stay motivated and stick to plan for longer than a day or two!
