  • Thank you for the warm welcome back. I have missed you guys, lol.

Well done losers. I'm going to keep plodding, WI last night and I STS, but I'm fine with that as was away with friends for a few days last week.

Ginvzt, I hope you feel better soon.
Meg, that lunch yesterday looks yummy.

    Have a good day all.

Wow just checked my chart and realised I'm only 1lb away from 180lbs, this is a major milestone for me as this was the weight I used to tell internet dating sites I was (but never have been since I was about 10) so it'll be nice to get there.

Maman - how thick is the hairy bikers gravy? I would have thought it would be quite thin with just one tsp of cornflour, or do you have to reduce it for a long time to get it to thicken up?

No, it really isn't thin and it only needs a few minutes to thicken. I think it must be something to do with the mustard powder as that's 'floury' but that's free. On Sunday I cooked it in the oven for the 1.5 hours then (cooled) put it in the fridge. When I got back from football I just reheated it on the hob with the cornflour/mustard mix while the veg was cooking. Brilliant!

Just phoned the mothership and put a order in for SW Spagetti Bolognese with Salad for dinner so that's my day sorted lol

If in doubt get someone else to feed you ! lol

I'd call that a NSV lantanna as you'll get a SW meal and save money plus a bit of cosseting from your mum which is great when you're feeling poorly.
Take care ginvzt. I'm sure the honey is comforting but it's the paracetamol that's helping really and they're syn free!

Slightly off plan today as I'm going to carvery for my dinner. I've got better and better at refusing the (massive) Yorkshires and filling up plate with veg leaving very little room for roasties. Back on it 100% tomorrow.

    EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, baked beans, HEA milk
    L: LO mince and veg
    D: carvery
Syns: scrape of spread, gravy, glass (?) of wine and any naughties on the veg.

Btw, I tried the overnight oats over this weekend and again for breakfast yesterday. I quite like them but - it was increadibly sour!!!!!!!! I use the natural yogurt and some frozen mixed berries I had in my freezer for ages. Do you add anything else to sweeten them a bit? Both times I aned up adding something - maple syrup first time, a bit of sweetener the second time. I am not sure I can stomach the sourness like this for breakfast again...

If you find it too sour you could try using a fruit yoghurt you like but you'll probably need to syn it (think I'm right that you can't get Mullerlights in Germany?)

I can't see any reason why you shouldn't sweeten the yoghurt before you add to the fruit - I would have thought you'd need less of it as it'll have time to mix with the yoghurt and fruit.

Personally I find the frozen mixed berries quite sour on their own and usually have to add some sweetner to them.

I haven't thought of sweetening the yogurt before! Thanks for that! No, no Müllerlights here, although I did not like them in the UK either! I used to have Activia onces in the UK, will have to look if I can find fat free version here. Germans seem not to like fat free varieties, and istead you can buy 15% (no, I did not miss a dot) yogurt. Or tubs of plain 10% one...

I can't imagine they're still on there, haven't had any replies in years if they are. To be honest what I put down as my weight was the least of my problems. I imagine looking like a fat Zoony the Lazoon put most women off.

Mullerlights in Germany - Do ALDI or LIDL not do their own version of them in Germany? They're a bit thicker than a ML so a better consistency.
  • Have to report a STS

Its a 1.5lbs loss for me this week please Shala. Thanks again for running the challenge. I've really enjoyed it, looking forward to the next one. I find that challenges really help me to stay motivated.

I also got my 2 stone shiny this week, so very pleased with that.

I'm really struggling with clothes at the moment, everything looks too baggy and shapeless. I still want to lose at least 2.5 stones so I don't want to buy too much, but I may have to make a few purchases!

Well done all losers and everyone else

Well done on your 1.5lb this week and your 2 stone shiney!

Definitely worth a look in charity shops for "new" clothes rather than buying new; or if you don't feel you can do that then SM clothes, Primani & Matal*n all do reasonably priced clothes which shouldn't break the bank too much. I don't think it's sensible to spend unnecessarily on clothes until you get to where you want to be.
