Well the weekend wasn't a complete disaster...
However that fact that body has gone in to protest mode and is demanding my 7day break from my tablets may or may not be cause for a total breakdown...I honestly hate my body sometimes. I would definitely not put up with the crud it throws my way if I didn't want more children!
Today:
Breakfast: wheat biscuits (heb) with milk (from hea) and a cuppa
lunch: chicken noodle deli box thing (2syns) plus some pepsi max and 4 chocolate fingers (6 syn)
body magic: 1.5 mile walk
tea: we are having meatballs and pasta tonight - to be honest I have no idea of the syns in the meatballsthey aren't particularly big and a portion is 4 of them - they are asda beef ones. I may also have a slice of garlic bread (6syns?)
so most likely over my syns today but it's another day to regroup and plan. Going to try and make some leek and potato soup tonight which will become lunch tomorrow and then as we are out until 8.30pm or slightly later I am going to do a chicken tonight in the slow cooker tomorrow and serve with rice once we get home (5/6 syns for the sauce)
I was going to make a frittata last night but the only frying pan we have is only an inch deep max...do people think that's deep enough? I would put in sliced tinned potatoes, pea, sweetcorn, green pepper and a little smoked ham
I think at best I will be looking at ending the challenge with another flipping STSpay day tomorrow and I am going to start being strict. Will only bring on plan stuff in - I'm thinking of bring a few bits of fruit, a box of prepared salad, a few hard boiled eggs etc to keep in the fridge/on my desk here to motivate me with yummy fresh food. Once I get in to it I do really well (as shown the other week with all my fantastic salads etc) but after a weekend away I struggle to get straight back on it 110%

Sorry to hear you're suffering.:(
Asda Butchers Selection Beef Meatballs, chilled 400g pack, 200g serving are 8.5 for half a pack so I might give the garlic bread a miss lush.
I'd say go for it with the frittata. Just play it by ear how much stuff you add. I like a chopped tomato and some spring onions (or ordinary) for flavour and if you've got any HEA grated cheese going spare I sprinkle that on before finishing it under the grill. You've got me fancying one now.:drool:0 -
I'll check when i get home but you may be one of the people who weigh a day late for the challenge but i put you in the previous week IYKWIM..
(can't see any of the blooming charts here as work ban us from seeing picutres!)
Has anyone seen these think i'd end up getting a hammer to it if i fancied some treats and was locked out!! :rotfl:
Last week of the challenge everyone, lets get some good losses in!! We've a fair bit of ground to make up :rotfl:
Thanks Shala - hope I have another week, 3lbs should be doable!I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.
Weight loss journey started January 2015-32lbs0 -
Thanks maman; there's 20 in the pack I have... in fact it's this one: http://groceries.asda.com/asda-webstore/landing/home.shtml?cmpid=ahc-_-ghs-sna1-_-asdacom-dsk-_-hp#/product/65808384
so presume it would be 5syns for the 4 (1/4 of a pack)? I do think I will skip the garlic bread today given I've just had 2 more chocolate fingers and now I feel a bit queasybleugh
The sauce for tonight was given to us by mil (shes incredibly fussy and decided she doesn't like the look of it :S) it's a lidl Bolognese one. I'm expecting it to be 5syns per portion; wasn't going to use it but I'd rather do it and get it used whilst I'm trying to empty as much from the cupboards as possible. Going to make a sw chile at the weekend for the same reason as I've had the kidney beans and tinned tomatoes in especially for it for ages now!
Definitely planning on trying frittata tonight now. Then I can serve it up with some lettuce (the only salad left in the fridge!) for lunches
Pay day tomorrow (at last!) so planning lots of healthy lunches for me as bf always has the same and wonder bairn has whatever I leave for her when bf is home or nursery feed herI'm thinking of buying some frozen berries to use for overnight oats as a change of breakfast

Wow! SW think we must be incredibly greedy to eat 10 meatballs each!
Lidl's Combino Bolognese sauce is 12.5 for a 500g jar.
I think you're right that it's better to eat things up and then just start buying SW friendly stuff. I know BF can be fussy but if he'll try Lidl's surely another time he'd have a HM sauce with passata and onions and herbs?
Not long to pay day.:)0 -
I'm not going to meet my challenge either! But I'm looking at the positives at least I've made a dent in it! Just have to get refocused for the next one!!0

I've instructed bf he has to watch the football tonight whilst I make soup and frittata! hehe needless to say he didn't protest much
He is fussy but gradually is getting betterI am thinking of going back to shopping at ASDA as I can get a discounted card for there from the health insurance rewards scheme and the local Tesco has dropped in quality of the fresh stuff I buy quite dramatically recently! So I may well be by with some syn value help requests in the next week or so (got a till spit to use at morrisons first though as they have some good offers on I've seen today
especially on stuff I buy regularly for bf's lunches so will use that and save a bit
I had better go and lock up and get home!************************************

Afternoon all
Had to laugh at the treat safe, and like someone else said, I think it would just encourage eating more when you get the chance. It wouldn't work for me when I get back to work, with a whole shop full of horrors - I can't lock them all away, I wouldn't sell any! You can just imagine the look on the customer's face when I tell them they'll have to come back when the timer goes off. :rotfl:
On the clothes debate, it's difficult to know what to do for the best if you have a lot of weight to lose, because your biggest clothes aren't going to be wearable after you've lost a couple of stone. I'm still wearing the same tops but the jeans that fitted me in November are now falling down so I bought a couple of pairs of lightweight trousers in the sales.
The other thing is that you might want to change your style, if you tended to go for long baggy tops that cover a multitude of syns you could choose more fitted styles that show off your trim figure.
It's important to establish what style you will adopt when your choice of clothes is suddenly much bigger, i.e. people who move from plus size (20 and over) down to regular sizes (18 and below).
Have any of you who are at or near target changed your style drastically? I think it was maman who said she now chooses colours rather than all black.
