Hi again - ironing done and now having a cup of tea before making some lunch. I had to do some ironing because I had nothing to wear this morning and ended up taking the top I wore yesterday out of the laundry basket. :o

I made celery soup the other day so we'll have the rest of that for lunch, probably with some Ryvita and Laughing Cow (HEB and HEA). DH hates celery and he really didn't think he was going to like celery soup but he had some yesterday with much trepidation and liked it!

I'm still lurgified and not sleeping very well, keep coughing and waking myself up. I also had a bad dream last night, woke up in a hot sweat and couldn't get back to sleep for ages.

Weigh in for me tomorrow and I'll be surprised if I've lost anything, I don't think I'm going to achieve my target with only 2 more weigh ins to go.

Have a good day everyone, back later.

    LL :)

Still no bread and switched to brown rice instead of white - I'm desperate for a good loss this week!!

Well done on the bread - i love brown rice more than white but it takes sooooo long to cook!

Yes Shala back on it now with vengeance. When does our challenge finish?

1st March - so you have weigh in tonight and next week to go...:D

I have a fitbit, haven't worn it since before Xmas though :o i think it works best if you use it alongside the food diary bit (either on fitbit website or MFP) it definitely shows you how many calories you shouldn't be eating if you've had a lazy day! I used to wear mine on my trousers jock, so it's ok you don't need a bra ;)

Treated myself to a can of Cherry Pepsi max today  so nice... the others are over at the pub so this is my treat to say well done for not going! :D it's the little things :rotfl:

Weigh in tonight will be horrendous, i think, BUT it gives me a point to move forward from.. going to try for a 90-95% week next week ;)

Back to writing down, checking syns, weighing healthy extras...

Hi everyone, quick run in for me again to shout 2lb loss for me this week!!
    Take care all x

That's a good loss!:T Sorry to hear about the job situation. One positive is that it'll be easier to face (job seeking or otherwise) if you feel good about yourself.

    Today is EE

B: Weetabix (HEXa and B), plum, nectarine and yogurt
L: Baked spud (1 syn for marge), tuna, low fat salad cream, 100g cheddar (5 syns), large speed fruit salad yogurt
D: Quorn chilli, wholemeal rice, broccoli, speed fruit and yogurt

As you can see, I'm massively trying to up the speed (mostly with fruit)...if anyone can see anything that I'm doing wrong please shout up. Still no bread and switched to brown rice instead of white - I'm desperate for a good loss this week!!

Looking at it I'd say you could call it a Green day. So 2 x HEB (Weetabix and 115g of tuna) and 2 x HEA (milk and 30g of the cheddar). Do you put veg in your chilli when you're making it up? I always add onions, mushrooms, peppers and carrots so it has the Speed food in it ready for a balanced meal. And don't forget to have your syns!!

Lantanna, I don't think a bread challenge with yourself (or with a buddy on here) is sad at all.

Sorry you're still feeling a bit poorly lois. My WM is on creating ironing but like ginvzt I only do an absolute minimum.;)

I'm trying a spiced pork chop recipe tonight, from SW site. Will let you know how I get on.

    EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, scrambled eggs, HEB toast
L: probably JP and cottage cheese with spring onions and pickles
D: Adrakhwala (???) pork, roasted veg and potatoes.
    Syns: scrape of spread

  • Anyone got a Fitbit? They've got a deal on them in Argos, not sure if they're something I'd get much use out of.

I bought bf one for his birthday in November and he now wears it all day everyday (apart from in the shower or when in the rugby chair) It's great that it syncs with the phone and his mac and it monitors his sleep quality too which is key for bf. It's also good that you can select different activities and put down how long you've done them for each day via a pre-set list in the app so even though he doesn't wear it for rugby he can out in that he's done x amount of training (though wheelchair rugby isn't on the list so he puts it down as wheelchair basketball instead)

If I was more active than I am now/I ever rejoined the gym I would definitely invest I think.

weighed in this morning and it's a big old STS for me please shala. I don't think the two scotch pancakes and kfc this week helped any...or the liquorice comfits I've had :/

I'll get the weekend out of the way and then get back on it. I'm thinking scrambled egg, baked beans and 1 sausage for breakfast plus a banana and mullerlight on Saturday and Sunday. Lunch I will pinch a bit of fruit and a muller from the hotel and also my Tesco meal deal I'll have a sandwich on wholemeal (something decent and simple not one of those extravagant things - chicken salad maybe or tuna or prawns) and I'll get pepsi max (I do appreciate a fizzy drink on days in sports hall else you feel like you're drowning just drinking water for hours on end!) and I will probably have the naughty chocolate bar that comes with the meal deal!

Today isn't cracking. Left the house at 7 as I needed to pick my manager up at half past only to find nursery have started opening half an hour later so I had to wait around there until 7.30 then drop wonder bairn in then get to my manager's then to Huddersfield to our other office for an event. I didn't get breakfast - wonder bairn has finally started properly cutting a tooth not just teething! I can feel the ridgey top bit :) and she had a horrendous night so I overslept and didn't get up until my back up alarm at 6.30 so I grabbed a croissant after the event at work then driving b ack I realised I hadn't sorted myself any lunch so I've had a cheese and broccoli batchelors deli box pasta...no idea of syns and I've not sorted anything for tea so no idea what that will be :( eugh it's so easy for life to get in the way. I couldn't prepare for today yesterday as we had a rugby game so we ended up with a kfc at gone 9pm then I had one job to do before I tried to go to bed then obviously I struggled all night with wonder bairn! bah...one day I will crack it

Re the ready meals, am disappointed that only 1 meets my dietary requirements and that's the chicken pizzwhatever :o also the vegetable pasta doesn't say anything about gluten or wheat so is the pasta not wheat pasta? The other pasta one only says wheat but nothing about gluten. Not sure I would trust any of them from the descriptions. The sausage description puts me off so won't have them either.
Complete fail if you ask me :p.
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

They are a fail for me due to the wishy washyness about portion size etc! They are meant to serve more than one app so how does that work out for people who are eating alone. Some awful person on one of the FB Groups, was putting it in the fridge and reheating again next day!!! _pale_

Also the beef comes from Argentina & the chicken from Thailand so not sustainably sourced in my eyes!

    Just my opinion! :rotfl:

The message they are trying to promote with them has gotten lost as well and people are buying them to eat everyday - not at all referring to you Tweets!! I'm interested in your experiment.

I guess you will either love them or hate them but for me its a pass!!

Hello greentiger, nice to meet you, too.

I suppose you are talking about the new ice land foods in the posts above, I can only eat 3 and would not touch prepacked food with salmon (like lantanna I like to know the provenience of food), I would not touch precooked and prepackaged pasta (it is an Italian thing!) so the remaining one is the sweet potato curry, which I can make myself in the pressure cooker, almost as quickly as opening the pack. So, it's a no from me!

    Today:

    B. Spinach omelette, dry fried mushrooms and tomatoes, baked beans
    L. Lentil, carrot, tomato and noodle soup with marigold bouillon, Chinese leaves with spray oil (2 syns) and vinegar.
    D. 90 g ricotta (hex) on 4 ryvita (hex), steamed mix veg with a tsp oil (2 syns), 100g full fat yogurt (1 1/2 syn) with a tbsp marmalade (2 syns) and 8 hazelnuts (2 syns) and Speed Fruits (prob. Strawberries)

So far this is the plan. Making pasta for the men but won't have any myself tonight, going to save some for my lunch tomorrow though, for a change!

Off to shops now to pick up fruit.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).
