Lose landline Phone Number

TTR are concerning with me - before I even agree to sign up to them - they appear unable to answer my on-going query about whether I can keep my existing phone number.
Every time that I ask - I get "WE ARE WORKING ON IT - UPDATE SHORTLY" or words to that effect.
I am thinking now, whether I should look elsewhere for a fibre ISP....?0 -

An explanation has been received from TTR
"It has now been discovered that we cannot place a sim 2 provide on the migrate of your services to residential. So basically we would need to take this over like for like first then order the fibre afterwards once the order has completed."
Which means nothing to me- any suggestions ?0 -
They can't move from TTB ADSL to TTR FTTC using a simultaneous provide. They'd have to move first to TTR ADSL then move to FTTC in a separate order.
It gives no explanation at all why you can't keep your number.0 -
I'd have given up long ago and gone with a company who knew what they were talking about and didn't feel the need to make me jump though so many hoops.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

You move to TTRs ADSL2+ service first and then once this is up and running you have the option of upgrading to fibre. There's a 99% chance of you keeping your number this way....this is how i migrated from TTR ADSL2+ to TTB Fibre without losing my number.
Good luck!0 -

Thanks - I still don't have any faith in TTR - In that I "agreed" to TTR (via CEOEXEC email chat) at 2:30 yesterday pm - the chap who was dealing with me, gave me the option of him doing the lot or just the transfer of ADSL service. I chose the latter, since Quidco offer (ED) £90 cashback for internal transfers to Fibre (which I am entitled to) - I have not heard a thing from CEOEXEC since then... no confirmation of what they have done, nothing - so I tried to log in to my account in TTR - But have no logon or even account number - and when I use my current (GOTADSL) email in the password reminder - it tells me "Your account does not exist" - so what's going on here ?
I have also asked TTB to confirm my continued use of GOTADSL email address - they have passed my query on to a specialist team - so I am imagining the worst - that my phone number will be lost, my email address will be lost and I will receive zero cashback - but that I will be able to connect at 10 times my current speed !!
The "track order" utility on their website is totally useless - you need an account number to log in to track your order !!!0 -
I have just managed to login to my on-line account and see that I will be transferred to TTR in 2 weeks time !!!
On the bottom of my account page it says "Your current monthly allowance is £100"
What is that on about ?0 -
It's nature's way of telling you that you should have heeded Buzby's advice in post #8.Move along, nothing to see.0
