Marks & Spencer Credit Note Refused
Comments

If they can't read the barcode then they won't know if the credit note has already been redeemed or not. The OP could have spent the credit note on a self service till and then rubbed the barcode off and tried to spend it again.
I am not saying the OP has done this but some people could take advantage of this.
I think the lesson to be learnt here is to make a note of the numbers when you get them and if they get rubbed off you can then still use it in the self service till.0 -
Disgusting attitude by M&S. I thought they were supposed to be good at customer service.
I would post this on their facebook page too.
Over 1000 people have viewed this thread, so their actions may end up costing them more than the £49 they owe you...Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Really makes me laugh when people say this.
There is no chance that the OP will stop shopping at M&S.
I was mis-sold something by Currys (then Dixons) many years ago who then wouldn't refund despite telling me a lie when it was sold.
I have NEVER shopped with them or affiliated shops ever again.
Some people are quite happy to take loyalty elsewhere...Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

If the OP spent £7,100 in 12 months they are not making an occasional purchase like in Currys.
I repeat, there is no chance that the OP will keep to their statement.0 -
