[STRIKE]I'm sure this has been discussed in another thread and there was no reason to not post them.[/STRIKE]
Not exactly it was your post #485 on the compers guide thread that I remembered which was referring to this thread
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=66974378&postcount=485
I have been posting comps for a company called Sprinkle.com. (I only found out about them when someone else started posting their competitions, but their posts were removed as they were deemed to be self-promotion). Some other members of the forum are of the opinion that this company will generate spam, although I have not noticed any increase in spam since I started entering them. I should appreciate it if VelvetGlove would take the time to readthis thread and advise me it needs to be added to this list of ones not to post. Thanks.

Don't think anything has happened to change my reply
thanks mjm
for highlighting the the original thread from marg,
I was looking for it but couldn't find,
hi marg, did you pm the thread to VG,
she may have missed it or not picked it up,
i'll pm her with the thread again for you though
judging by the figures viewed & peeps thanks/winners etc
it seems to me there's only a few that seem to be unhappy
with the site as opposed to many members/peeps who are happy with it.please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -

When you signed up were you aware your personal details would be sold to third parties ?0 -

Pleased to hear that we don't vote on these sorts of issues!
How sites get on that list is pure MSE magic but often seems to happen after they self promote on here but can happen after the site asks MSE to block the posting of them.
Getting it on the "Spam" list in the guide seems to rest with the good judgement of VelvetGlove.
All my own opinions though & please do not shoot the messenger :-)0 -

With all sites it's also about possible third party links and taking care if following them.
Bigger sites which themselves are fine now seem to have far more questionable links on them, including itv and many of the magazines, not just to possible "spam" sites but also download links which may not be to an actual virus but still put loads of unwanted rubbish on a pc unless you are careful.0 -

Like I have said, I will continue to enter until such a time as I no longer trust the site...
I know you no more than I know Rich from Sprinkle - I'll make my own choice based on the information that I have read/seen.
By now, I think we ALL no your views - Now just let people decide for themselves.Debbie0 -
When you post a new thread you can add a poll question in the bottom of all the advanced options. Please let's preselect the questions. IF people wish to vote that is.“We are not interested in the fact that the brain has the consistency of cold porridge.” - Alan Turing (1912-1954)0
