It seems you're not able to receive PMs but it's your main page where a new user would sign up (and need to know what to). Both links dead.0 -
Sorry you had some flack .

Don't know if you're referring to my posts here Toni but all I was wanting was confirmation that Sprinkle do in fact sell compers details on to other companies.
Now Rich has admitted to this people will now know what they are signing up to if they choose to join.0 -
It just seemed to be done in such a confrontational manner, That may not be how you meant to come across but it is how it read to me.
Comps are very thin on the ground and decent comps like some of the sprinkle ones more so.
Would hate to see a company that took the time and effort to try to explain themselves be deterred.
Before this thread I hadn't bothered with sprinkle but have now added them to my comping routine so all's good.

Do you mean they ask people to post on the forum as well? If they do I cannot say I have noticed or seen any posts that mention it.0 -
I'm new to comping and have been using Sprinkle since about November. I've won the daily £10 Amazon prize twice - Once in December and also this week and have never been asked to announce my win anywhere. I haven't noticed an increase in spam since joining sprinkle either.
I will continue to enter daily until such a time comes that I no longer trust the site - As I would with any of the sites that I use. But, for the time being the benefits outweigh the risks.Debbie0 -
I am one of the people that have posted Sprinkle comps on here. I do not know the company personally. I first became aware of the site when they were posted by somebody that was apparently related to the site. I have won once from Sprinkle. Not a comp that I posted, but one that another user posted.
I would like to post a poll to gain a feel for how many people think that they should be added to the banned list and how many people think that their competitions should be allowed to be posted. I don't know how to set up such a poll. Would anyone be able to help me to set up a poll, or would somebody be able to set up a poll for me? If my understanding is correct of how polls work, I think you can keep the names of people who have voted and what they voted secret. If this is the case, then I would like to do that, so that people do not feel intimidated by making their views known.
Thanks in anticipation0 -
I'm all for being picky and a complete !!!! about terms but there have been happy winners, some not so happy sprinkle enterers (me with that chromebook) and i don't see anyone noticing an increase in emails, post, calls, spam, door knocking or general extra spam.
Bottom line is , if you sign up , read the terms. If you don't like them or decide to be anally retentive about odd wording then don't join.

[STRIKE]I'm sure this has been discussed in another thread and there was no reason to not post them.[/STRIKE]
Not exactly it was your post #485 on the compers guide thread that I remembered which was referring to this threadI have been posting comps for a company called Sprinkle.com. (I only found out about them when someone else started posting their competitions, but their posts were removed as they were deemed to be self-promotion). Some other members of the forum are of the opinion that this company will generate spam, although I have not noticed any increase in spam since I started entering them. I should appreciate it if VelvetGlove would take the time to read this thread and advise me it needs to be added to this list of ones not to post. Thanks.
Don't think anything has happened to change my replyIf they are not breaking the rules by asking people to post (in iwiwiw not the actual competitions) they are certainly bending them BUT as far as I know no one has reported an increase in spam from using the site.0 -

Is this the usual process when deciding whether a site should be on the 'Banned/Spam' list?Debbie0
