My main concern is what "Sprinkle" do, what product or service of their own are they trying to promote?
What's wrong Rich ?
Question too tough ?0 -
Hello
My main post above covers this. You may be asking how or why we do it.
Two fold.
1. We aim to link people and products. The people / users decide if they choose to. We may get paid for this in the future.
2. We aim to get people free stuff and hopefully make them happy.
Everyone is able to choose to use or not use and even delete their data.
I presume you are not a member snakepilsen?
Thanks

Rich, I just want to say that I'm grateful for you in taking the time and trouble to come here and put your point of view forward. I won a £10 Amazon voucher with Sprinkle a while back. And I appreciate you and all comp hosts for giving us the chance to win stuff.
I neither know or care about companies reasons for running comps. I assume they do it for their own purposes. Why not? I enter them for mine
Best wishes

Rich
Could you explain what this entails.
What is it the companies are paying for ?0 -
From above
#####
Freebies are going to be a big part of it in the future and with that we will allow companies to give you, the users options to get free samples. So for example if you are female and live in London we offer you the option to get that freebie, knowing that they will need your address or some other contact to reach you. You can choose to do this or not.
#####
It's the basis of freebies, they want to reach the user, finding certain demographic users is hard.
I presume you have seen the freebies section here on MSE.
Thanks

So Sprinkle collect the information for other companies and are later paid for it.
Would that be correct ?0 -
I have won from several hundred different companies and not once have I been asked to post about it on this forum (or anywhere else), the closest has been a company asked my permission to announce me as a winner on their FB page. I just see it as just getting round the forum rules on self promotion.
Damn full volume Captain Pugwash was a bit of a surprise.

http://potential.co.uk/Hi, one quick question to the Sprinkle Rep if your still here.
I (stupidly) signed up using my Google account. You say that in order to close my account I simply have to enter my password into the relevant box.
However, as I signed up with Google I HAVE NO password, therefore I am unable to close my account. It also seems that Sprinkle does not show up on my list of linked Apps when I go into my Google settings, so there is no way to unlink it from my account.
Any suggestions?
I think he's Sprinkled off.0 -

Not as I see it.
There is a slight variation, and this is key. The onus is on the member.
The "data" is given to us by the user and with their permission it is passed to the external company so that they can send the offer / voucher / gift / whatever.
Sorry about the pugwash, I personally don't like that either.
I see quite a few comps that require or suggest publicity may be required. We don't do that.
But I am really trying to play nicely, if asked to I will alter.
Thanks

It doesn't matter anyway. I'm an idiot, I was looking at my Google+ settings instead of my main Google account settings. I found the right section and revoked access. Goodbye Sprinkle.0
