It's out of context because it's a legal clause. By not quoting the parts about the supplier of the goods being the one responsible to you, you leave the statement about Sprinkle not being responsible for them hanging there like intentional disregard of our rights. They take no responsibility because the supplier takes it when you can read the entire clause. It's called a 'contextomy'.

Have you stopped to think that 'inflated' iwiwiw have actually been due to genuine excitement and to show the naysayers that Sprinkle is legit?

For example, I have NEVER taken this much time to go over a business' policies. By doing so though to attempt to show to you that you are incorrect, I have absolutely reassured myself in the process that this is an entirely reputable business with business activity very much like many others supplying competition prizes.

I'm done. Think what you will.

Could have been the reason except posts were made before there was much discussion about the site and some mentioned they were posting "on request".

Actually they are not like many others, the closest comparison would be with the "Myoffers" data harvesting type of sites or a competition portal and not the majority where a company has a product/service of their own to promote.

Just based on their actions on this forum alone I am of a different opinion.

    Never the twain shall meet.

As you clearly did not read the post I am repeating it hear for clarity.

snakepilsen bases their interpretation that Sprinkle are a data harvester on this clause from their Privacy policy..

Such companies may be located outside of the EEA and You consent to the transfer of Your Personal Data to such companies for the purposes set out here in accordance with this Statement and as permitted by the Data Protection Legislation from time to time.
Do you come to the same conclusion?

I draw you attention to the following respectable businesses with near identical Privacy statements. Certainly I caution you in isolating the business Sprinkle and inferring they as doing some rather dubious practices based on such REQUIRED BY LAW terminology.

So I enquire. On what basis do you personally come to the conclusion Sprinkle.com are a "data harvester" that you have stated numerous times across this forum.

My opinion has nothing to do with their privacy policy so based on what they actually do what do you think their business is?

(FYI "data harvesters" can be perfectly legit, its just a type of business)

So going on the answer, you have no proof? I personally have proof of myoffers activity comparatively and see absolutely no correlation with Sprinkle's activities and that of myoffers. In fact myoffers clearly stated on each spam email why you were getting the spam which helped identify it lol. And I have used both.

'Data Harvesting' is not an illegal activity per se. Data Scientists and Data Analysts work with harvested (or scraped) data on the internet and are highly skilled and highly paid roles in the industry. Any site you enter data into must adhere to the Data Protection Act to protect the data you provide.

    The listed company activity is

    "Web portals/Data base activities"

Once again if they are not
a data harvesting type of sites or a competition portal

what are they, what product or service of their own are they trying to promote?

'Data Harvesting' is not an illegal activity per se

    as I already posted

So you agree the current problem you have with them is a legitimate business model? Just you choose to not like this business model? A big business like Groupon does a very similar model in fact.
