RX8 are renowned for hot start issues, drinking oil and requiring engine rebuilds.
A mechanic friend of mine says that RX8s can be really problematic.

OTOH, the BMW straight-six engine is a fine piece of kit!

    +1

Any under £5K either need or are going to need a £2.5K engine rebuild sometime soon.

    Very bad engines.

    Avoid.

If I had £36k to spend on a car, I'd rather go for a car that turns heads. To be honest it looks like any other old BMW.

Aye you couldnt tell them apart....

A friend of mine when we were in our 20's used to run m3's and we were very in awe of them. I asked him one day how did he afford it. He said that the biggest issue was raising the cash to buy one in the first place, after that the depreciation was fairly minimal - he'd buy at around £24,000, run it a year then sell it for £23,000.

People are caught up in an egotistic artificial rat race to display a false image to society. We want the biggest house, fanciest car, and we don't mind paying the sky high mortgage to put up that show. We sacrifice our biggest assets our health and time, We feel happy when we see people look up to us and see how successful we are”
