Hello chums and new chums.
Yay the wardrobes have both got bids so they will be gone in a week I hope.
Wasn't in all day yesterday and went to the theatre last night so missed the gremlins.Doubt I would notice to be honest with this old steam powered laptop.
Theatre was a freebe.Was ok,murder mystery.
And now a big sigh of relief. We will not be moving on the 19th.A holdup further down the chain.Good news for me to be honest as we will just move to the new house not putting everything in storage.
I spent £5 yesterday on a fancy hand towel from tkmacks for the new house. The money is from eeeeeebay sales.Wasn't tempted with anything else.
More packing today, digging plants up if it stays dry and a trip to aldeeeee.Vx:0 -
Terrible here too. I have persevered and some messages do get posted but I have lost a fair few.
MMM reduced bread in the freezer. Mushroom omelette for breakfast. Pop corn popped for snacking later. Washing on the line. Will go see what damage, if any, has been done to the allotment after the winds. General tidy and vinegar wash the sink and loo to rid of limescale.0 -
SILVASAVA I've tried to pm you and hope the message gets through (some doubt of it going) but He Who Knows is feeling a bit better today and Docky is plodding along and I'm trying to keep his nose clean and uninfected so all here is as well as can be. Thank you for caring about us, Lyn xxx.0

Lyn, I am pleased He Who Knows is feeling a little better and dearest Docky is holding his own.
Himself is painting the bannister and door frames upstairs, I have done the washing and ironing and we have just had a little lunch. Flora is settled in her luxury cardboard box , she won't even let me put a fleece blanket in it.
So a no spend day for me, although I spent quite a lot on specs yesterday, but that was a necessity.
I have found it difficult to click on the thanks button, and I did almost lose a very long post yesterday but found it again. Thank you Lyn for responding to that lady, I knew you would be able to add to what I had written.
Gentle hug to Docky

Lynplatinum, I've had the 'timed out' message appearing and carrying on thinking my thanks have been submitted, only to refresh the page to find out they haven't! Gremlins!! (had to re-thank whole pages, grrr)Every act of kindness, no matter how small, isn’t wasted ❤️

Is the 'Timed Out' thing happening all across the MSE boards or is it just here on the OS board?0
-
It is on at least 5 that I know of Lyn. It is behaving the same as yesterday.0

I might have found a way round it, using Google I typed in 'What is the problem with the MSE Forums?' as a question and in the list of answers given was 'MoneySavingExpert.com Forums' which took me straight to the big list of forums and I clicked on Old Style and it isn't timing me out.(yet)
Rats.....just timed me out again but I got a few uninterrupted minutes!0 -
Well newest granddaughter arrived safe and sound although almost 2 weeks overdue. I've been looking after the older granddaughter so haven't had a great deal of time to come on here though now all are home and setttled I've been able to catch up!
In true MMM fashion I have been making several things for the new baby from recycled fabrics. I made a small patchwork blanket from recycled clothing and backed it with a piece of fleece. Must admit I wasn't too sure what my daughter would make of my effort so I was delighted to see that she had chosen it to take into the hospital with her - it was baby's first blanket!
As others have found it is often the younger generation who are more open to MMM. Many of my generation (I'm late 50's) do think I'm quite odd.
By the way I don't get all the P**dora thing either - why pay for a name? They look the same to me as the cheaper knock offs anyway - though don't like either.0
