Quick check in while I have a coffee
All my work jobs are taking forever it feels like and I'm nowhere near where I wanted to be with it by now but I do have a nice pile of rubbish. Can't wait for the bins to be emptied tomorrow as I have loads of stuff to put in the recycling & bin both of which are full for a change!
I text Ex asking what time DD would be home tomorrow, I said I was guessing after 6pm. He doesn't know but said he'll text me when he does know.[STRIKE] I bet I end up texting him in the morning to ask :rotfl: [/STRIKE] Plan is to run down to Mr A and do a tiny top-up shop and get some fresh milk and put some money on my Christmas savings card before she gets home. Maybe even a wander across to the park weather & energy levels permitting
Narco - hope DH is home soon.
dancemum - I wouldn't worry about the weight gain. I've put 6lbs on in a week and apparently just about everybody at my mums SW group did as wellI have until the 21st Jan when I next go back to the doctors to loose the gained 6lbs, and another 5
I foresee lots of exercise for me in the next 3 weeks
:rotfl::rotfl:
CY - sending get it sorted already vibes to the solicitors:rotfl:
My list is not looking as good as I hoped:
Work:
[STRIKE]Sort through supplies for work[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE] Go through stock and price up to see if its worth keeping or not.[/STRIKE] This could prove interesting, I'm keeping it for now but seriously need to look into ways to sell it on to people so I don't make a loss.
Prepare newsletter
Prepare books to go out on 5th Jan
[STRIKE] Sort through work cupboard and purge what I can. [/STRIKE] Now I just need to "process" a few things to go back in there.
Personal:
[STRIKE] Update finances[/STRIKE] Looking healthier than I thought.I can be a tiny bit more lenient when I go shopping.
[STRIKE] Mr A list[/STRIKE] On my app, just need to transfer it to paper as I hate using the phone in store.
Finish book
Inventory of food
Marzipan Christmas cake (yes I still haven't done it :rotfl: Didn't seem any point since we haven't had our Christmas Dinner yet)
Write "to bake" list so DD and I can make goodies for her packed lunch
Finish updating my diary
Monday - children's room Mainly being left until DD is home
Only got 15 minutes...
Tidy up and find a home for all those things sitting about
Hoover
30 minutes to spare....
Change a bed or two
Sort through socks, underwear and tshirts and get rid of any which are too small or too tatty
Got an hour....
Pull everything out from under the bed an hoover under there
Wipe the window ledges
Shine a mirror or window
Extras
HHI - especially if you are on the ironing challenge
Meal plan for the week
My phone battery is on 6% so I'm going to mess on that for a bit while I finish my coffee, and then I'd best get on with the next work job - cutting and stamping order forms. I have 400 to do  I think trashy TV may be called for while I do that then prepare books.
ETA: Just had text from Ex that he's not picking DD up until 7.30pm, so she won't be here much before 9pm as it'll take them an hour just to get back to his. I'll spend Wednesday cleaning then, she'll be worn out and just want to sleep lol :rotfl:
Also, If you were a cake board which was purchased on Christmas Eve where would you be hiding? I cannot remember what I've done with it!Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Long tailed tits as per my avatar; they just remind me of fairies flitting about (don't worry I'm blonde so I have an excuse).
I've got one of those feeding centres that you can hang various feeders from; I put the mealworms on the part that looks like a wire plate and generally the starlings are squabbling over them in minutes.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

Stern solicitor-scaring looks coming their way.
My lounge and kitchen are now pretty impressive, even if they aren't "today's" rooms. May start slowly on the room of doom that is my study, as everything seems to have been flung into it over the last month and it wasn't that impressive to start with.
Mr N said don't worry about visiting until this eve as he will read or sleep and try not to focus on hospital stuff. Must say it seems odd not to be there this afternoon, but I enjoyed copious amounts of coffee with Miss Marple on TV, flying during the commercials.
I'm picking his mum up at 6.15 so we can visit.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Moved into a new place just before Christmas and I'm determined to keep it clean and tidy. My parents have been displaying shock and surprise at seeing me with a dUster or vacuum cleaner in my hand. So far fairly tidy as we've been doing it as we go but as of tomorrow I'm getting to it, doing a little bit everyday I hope!NSDs January - 3/8 2017 total - 3

Well the BR floor is clear and has been hoovered and all accessible skirting boards cleaned. Not sure where DH and I are sleeping tonight though as I can't actually see the bed! My dad has been so have been sitting downstairs for an hour and now am going to sort tea out. I suppose then I'd better try and find the bed! Only thing is I know at least some things are going in/under the bed but I have to lift the bed up to do that and I can't with the stuff on it.NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

Ok so DD has refused any form of egg for at least a year. But despite insisting she didn't want dinner, only juice, not hungry etc she has just polished off half of DS omelette. I can't figure these two out. I want to throw the freezer contents in the bin and feed them gruel.
I think I need a NY resolution. 7 dinners that we just have on fixed days of the week until they can eat like human beings. Gah.Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
Stern 'get on with it' vibes going to solicitors regarding conveyancing holdups, along with 'careful checking of legal nasties' vibes, such as those afflicting The Dusty One.Narc0lepsy wrote: »Long tailed tits as per my avatar; they just remind me of fairies flitting about.
Thank you! OH is the one with Twitcher tendancies - my eyesight isn't good enough to identify long or short tails at a distance. Probably why I like the blackbird so much - love the singing, chatting and very, very easy to identify! His wife follows me about until I feed her when I'm dog-walking. I don't think blackbirds 'do' mesh trays, but if they do please could someone tell me.
Lamewolf, Mrs Dog will eat almost anything last thing at night, even if she hasn't eaten during the day at all. Might that work with Ronnie? Sometimes it's the only way I can get dog food into her.
The last of the turkey meat has been chopped up and frozen into three 350g boxes for Delia's turkey, leek and cheese flans when I get hold of some more plain flour, cheddar and leeks. It may be some time before they're made, but that's okay because we're still working our way through the onion flans made with leftover eggs, lowfat cheese and butter substitute left behind by lodgers.
I remembered to get the superking 100% cotton duvet cover in off the line in the yard. It really is monstrously heavy.
Toiletry gift sets - the gift of choice for the Generous But Desperate-for-Ideas. I've always loathed them for all of the reasons already stated but I was given one by my colleagues when I left a long term temp assignment. I thanked them all profusely, said all of the right things, popped it in my bottom desk drawer ... and forgot about it completely. Oops.Better is good enough.0 -
Wondering if bird feeding Flyladies can tell me the best things to put in the feeders this time of year. Thanks.
Cat stuff done.
S&Sed kitchen and bathroom.

Thank you for the new list Dusty.I took all the shoes out from under the bed,put them in wardrobes and then went out and bought a new pair in the sales!I then visited my friend with a new hip and had a cuppa.
Now off to cook fish cakes as a change from Turkey, but Honey Bear's idea for quiches sounds good.
What is the superstition about sheets Gilly?0
