Hope you get him home soon Narco. He must be so fed up of being in hospital.
HoneyB I cant help myself picking up rubbish if I see it lying around when I am walking the dog, not that I see that much. Speaking of the dog he seems to have a dodgy tummy and is a bit off it. Goodness knows what he has eaten, or what the kids have fed him. Probably best not to walk him today and let him sleep it off.
I am twiddling my thumbs a bit. I should hoover but both kids are happily shut in their bedrooms so I dont want to disturb them. Have tidied some presents away and might just get the duster out.
Oh and have got the washing machine going too. Its lovely out, very cold and crisp.0 -
Well done to our wombling flylaides, I'm always picking up litter out our front but may start doing so further afield.
DS1 room almost finished, on to DS2 next.
Narco hoping DH can be home soon.
Dancemum, take care if you go out in your car, sounds very cold and icey. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Done everything on my must do list so am relaxing now....do need to see if stuff in td is finished though so will put kettle on while I'm near it lol.
Our recycle bins should have been collected on Saturday but weren't and now have to wait 2 weeks. Our bin is full and I also filled next doors as house is empty and still huge pile outside back doorHave a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T0 -

What are fairies? I feed the dried mealworms on demand when the blackbird comes a'calling, but the wretched pigeons nick them if I feed them liberally. How do you feed them?

Turkey?
More rubbish has already appeared in a place I cleared this morning! Speaking of thongs and things, about 18 months ago I was walking the dog late at night and a really attractive looking couple passed me, walking arm in arm, well dressed, and I thought, 'How lovely.' And then, about five minutes later I saw them again, indulging in what I can only describe as al fresco Ugandan relations. There are many, many places on The Hoe where they would be been discretely hidden away, but on a bank facing a row of bed and breakfasts is not one of them.
Happy Wombling Flyladies.Better is good enough.0 -
Please add me in for 2015 - I need some help to get into a routine.
Today I have tidied away much of the Christmas debris (presents into their new homes) and put out some of the recycling.
Underwear drawer sorted, under bed area clear, vacuumed.
If there is anything on TV tonight I will do some ironing, but won't promise to clear it all as I've just done a wash load.0 -
Both my bins are full too
green bin will go out for Wednesday but heaven knows how we'll manage another week without the black one.
DS Lego train now in his room - I can see my LR rug :T we built the level crossing for it too. There is still hot wheels track running the length of the hall though
But feels like progress has been made.
Kiddies away to inlaws tomorrow aft. My plan is to put away put away put away and a spot of paid stuff and grocery shopping before they are back Wed pm. Jackets and a selection of toppings for NYE supper methinks...Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
Bins seem full everywhere, we should have recycling this week. I must admit I find it depressing that we have all created so much waste over the holidays. Boys all were given (not by us) a couple of toiletries gift sets, so much packaging and no need to it.
Off to do the last boys' room, rooms looking good, hallway looking like a dumping ground. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I have almost completely lost track of the days of the week - so thanks for the new thread.
Welcome to newbies and returning flyers.
Been into town with DH. Stocked up on reduced wrapping paper and bought a toaster and some baking trays for DD2 for when the flat purchase eventually goes through.
Treated ourselves to fish and chips in the caf! at Morrisons. Blooming lovely, and considerably cheaper than takeaway fish and chips.
DD1 has bought a PS4 and is setting it up in the living room for now. so I can't get in there atm.
Washing is now virtually up to date. there is some ironing to do, but I am confident (for the first time) that I will complete the challenge.
The new year party I have gone to for years is not happening this year - so it is quite likely to be me and DH in front of the telly. Preferably with a scaled down, healthy buffet...:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
If anyone can send some flylady vibes towards a set of solicitors it would be much appreciated. DD2 and her partner were desperately disappointed not to have completed for Christmas. We are hoping they will be in asap...:jFlylady and proud of it:j0

I'm on reduced Flying for another week, while Ronnie's still here. It's extremely time-consuming (and tiring, if I'm honest) dealing with him, and quite simply, something has to give. He is cute, though.:D He did really well today; he's actually made a canine friend! Considering he was attacked and injured by another dog at the beginning of the month, and was reluctant to even go for a walk after that, and definitely couldn't cope with meeting other dogs - he's become friends with Tasha, an elderly collie cross who lives in the next close. We saw her at lunch time today, and Ronnie greeted her nicely, and had a fuss from her owner. I'm so pleased with him.:TIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
