    Evening all
I have been sort of lurking but busy and not made time for my flyfriends :o
Wishing you all the very best for 2015... may it bring you everything you desire. Mine's a dalliance with Mr Branson from Downton please *swoon*

Nice to see you back. That's a fine ambition! What is it about Irishmen? I won't fight you for him so long as you let me have Pierce Brosnan.

    Bathroom cleaned
    Sale stuff to return sorted

Today's 'out' item is an old metal nail file from the bathroom window which has been there ages. Also a hamer box I was going ot keep in the bag for the scrap store. I'm aiming for one item everyday without fail and on days I find more than one that is a bonus.

It has been lovely to hear all the bird stories over the last couple of days and although we dont have a large garden and are close to the town I would love to have a bird table to encourage some wildlife in.

I hope DH is improving now he is home Narcolepsy.
    .

I'm sure you could encourage lots of birds in town - if you happen to get a Daily Telegraph paper today, there's a voucher for £4.99 worth of bird food free from Homebase, don't know if there is one near you. We're going to zip down and see if there is any left in Harlow this afternoon as Mr N's daily walk - being as how it is sleeting at present and outdoor walking is not likely to happen.

He is gradually eating more thanks; I selflessly bought him a jam doughnut this morning when I got the paper - torture as I love them but can't eat wheat so haven't had one for years. Still I'm torturing him by eating fruit which he isn't allowed.

Scoffing vibes for Mr Narco and Mischief.

It's great to see you posting again Kazm, Bonnie and Polly Bear (a cousin, obviously) - brackets just for you, Ionafan. We won't be taking our deccies down until 12th Night because that's OH's birthday and it's part of his birthday celebrations. I know, we're very sad. There are lots of posters I love seeing here and miss when they're too busy to post - such as Valli and Skint, where are you and are you okay?

Just before we go into the new year for real on this thread tomorrow night, just wanted to say thank you all those that have been so kind about the length of my posts. I'm probably thinking out loud quite a lot of the time, in a place that feels very safe.

The bathroom is sparkly, which is a lot more than I intended for today but in the end even I could see the 'light dusting' of black cat and dog hair against the white sanitary-ware. Gone now.
    Better is good enough.

Very slow start here this morning as didn't wake until after 930 and that was because DH brought me tea. All I've done is shower, dress, turn up a pair of too long jeans (with wonderweb stuff) and measure up the potential wardrobe spaces. And drink coffee, thanks ionafan :D .
Pouring here so not much chance of getting out with dog today, will have to keep an eye on the forecast.

Embb - I wish I had your get up and go, I'm seriously going to struggle for work on Monday, which reminds me I need to sort another car share now DS has left or my fuel bill will be back up to £45 per week without doing anything else .

Positive vibes for your friend ionafan and any others under the weather.

Right see if I can get DH to come to the diy shops with me and if not then I'll diy which he won't like at all!

    See Ya later
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

    Pot of homemade soup made...
    Lemon drizzle baked...
    Chocolate cake in...
Roasted half the parsnips and carrots... The other half will make soup!

Thanks to frizzle and Mrs N (sorry to hear about Mr N but glad he is improving!) for the recipes.

Anyway, after all of the above the kitchen is looking unloved... A quick S&S should see it right again!

In between I have sorted ironing laundry into mine and his desperately looking for items which can just be removed... No suck luck!

I've also looked out the boxes to take the tree and decs down!

First cushion cover done, quick walk with the dogs now before going out to DD's house with DH.

I've been trashing my kitchen today ;) but FIL birthday cake is all but done :T

We've also laid the table for tomorrow, and done party bags. All golf themes. Hope he likes it.

We might pop to Mr S in a bit if we are brave enough for the crowds. Have a voucher and a birthday banner would be nice.

Have not done half the stuff I hoped today but never mind. Just watching the strictly Christmas special as I missed most of it.

Tree decking steps scrubbed and rinsed thoroughly but they're still as slippery as an ice rink, yard scrubbed and sparkly. One drain blocked - oops. Will just shove a slate over it and hope OH doesn't notice. None of that was on the list.

Box of whoopsied pastry found and shoved in the fridge to defrost. There's another lump of homemade stuff in there, but the box takes up more room and it's awkward whereas my homemade lump is quite neat, really. I'm testing a block of frozen yeast with honey and warm water but I think it's dead, Jim.

There seems to be a lot of fiddly timewasting jobs being done here before the shower. I hate doing the shower.

Superking half-made. I think I'll finish that after I've had a bit of a break. Must get milk before OH gets home in a couple of hours. After that I might have run out of ways to avoid the shower.
