  • Good afternoon

I have put all the 15 min jobs together on a list which I will work through this weekend.

    Monday - bedroom
Tidy up and find a home for all those things sitting about
    Hoover

Tuesday Bathrooms and a bit of Everything Else
S&S toilets and sinks (including the kitchen)
Have homes been found for all the presents? Try to get one thing out of the house for each thing in DO TAKEAWAY PIZZA BOXES COUNT? :o

New Year's Eve - Kitchen and Dining Room
Wipe the table and work surfaces put everything away that shouldn't be there
    Descale kettle, iron, taps etc

    Thursday - New Year's Day
Just some bits and pieces for those in the mood, if not have the day off ready to start tomorrow. Remember to spend sometime with family/friends if you like that sort of thing. DONE
    J

Hoover out smoke alarms and test
Update calendar/diary with all those important dates
    Delete some emails/favourites DONE
Back up photos from phone/laptop etc, enjoy looking over some
Put away any glasses used last night DONE
Hoover any areas in dire need
Sort out that drawer/cupboard/shelf which has been on your list forever.

Write a list of 5 things you do that make you happy and 5 that make you sad. Ponder on how to do more of the first list and less of the latter.

What a great idea! I need to do this! Thank you x

Aww gilly you can re freeze meat once cooked. But you'd have to only heat it the once following IYSWIM.

I'm with dusty having just been to Mr S (and they didn't even have the paper I wanted, but I did come home with a piñata and some party goodies to stuff it with) I would avoid shops if I possibly could. Was rather full of people!

Thought you ladies might like to see the cake I've done:

Back from the out of town diy stores with Captain slow and we bought err, nothing. Looked at loads of stuff decided what would work but he needs to measure it all. I've got them here I said, but I will need to plan it he says, we can do it like this says I getting out my pen and notebook. So like I said back home and what is he doing, watching the film from his dashboard camera, Er why, we didn't get into any scrapes or anything and its 2 miles out of town not even an interesting route. Men!

Think I need to go and do some more flinging while he procrastinates

Oh and frizzle we don't live alone so why should we thank them for doing something they should be doing anyway

    Cake is fabulous bossymoo

Also need to tax the car but can't find the reminder and panicking as already three days late.

You can use the reference on your V5C if you can't find the reminder, to tax online - and DO make sure you use the official .gov.uk site and not a 'clone' site

There are lots of posters I love seeing here and miss when they're too busy to post - such as Valli and Skint, where are you and are you okay?
I'm here. Depressed (well a bit) because I have taken the tree down, because, once again I have not achieved as much as I would like to have achieved BUT I HAVE written thankyou cards for the kiddies (setting good example;)) ready for Monday. I thought an endowment would pay out in May this year but I have checked and it's Sept next year and I could have used it to pay for my desperately-needed new windows, and/or clear some debt.

    Ah well...

    bossymoo Great cake!
YorkshireLass You're not alone in lacking motivation or dreading Monday, come on, we can do this together!

DS1 has amazingly more energy and motivation than me today (once he got up!:p) The Christmas decorations have been dismantled and put into loft. He is now clearing the computer desk in the corner of the livingroom - which is more or less his corner, but now he seems to prefer his laptop. DD thinks she may want to work there, so now at least it will be possible!

Cup of tea time I think.

Well, blow me down! Ronnie asked for breakfast this morning!! He still needed me to sit with him and encourage him with little tiny morsels of chicken and beef, which I put on top of the dog food, but he ate the lot! :T

Weekend tasks under way - it was mattress-turning today (on an 8-week schedule in my PDA) and we change the bedlinen on Saturdays in any case. Plus, the new rubberised back and seat covers for the bath lift arrived - the others were worn out after over 3 years constant use, so the bath lift has been thoroughly cleaned and the new covers fitted.

I see from my PDA list that I need to wash the Dys0n filters this week; I'll wait til Ronnie goes home (Tuesday), do a good run round to get as much Ronnie-hair up as possible, and wash them after that, I think.

I had a call the other day, Jessie Labradoodle's folks are moving house probably mid-Jan (I think the exact date is tbc) so I may have her for a couple of days sometime soon.:o

We are going out in 45 mins so I am hoping at least one more might try done and the decs might gave to wait until tomorrow! Do I need to give him a pat on the back and say well done?!?
I think it's nice to thank anyone for doing something for me, though I'd draw the line at a pat on the back :)

Bossy - Love the cake - brilliant :T
Valli - you beat me to the info re VC5 for Gilly :)
I think you should be proud of what you have achieved - there's always tomorrow. ((hugs)) for the money not coming through when you thought.

I have done most of the stuff for this week and all I have left to do now is :-

    Today
    Take down all the cards
    Totally clean living room
Do meal plan for next week - later
    Butcher shop - next week

Decided on my goals for next year - but going to go steady ;)
    1. Half-an-hour a day on my Spanish lessons (Mon-Fri)
    2. Half-an-hour exercise a day (Mon-Fri)
    3. Drawers, cupboards, boxes, files and shelves. Thoroughly empty, sort and put back at least one a week.
    4. Thoroughly deep-clean one room a month in 2015
    5. Do 365 'good deeds' - preferably anon

Hugs, sticks and spoons to all as needed

Hope you all enjoying the weekend
