  • I have just spent a happy couple of hours researching recipes on the internet and jotting down ideas in a notebook donated by DS. We are getting into a real rut with meals and eating far too many jars of sauces/packet mixes.

My cupboards and freezers are nearly empty so its a good time to start mealplanning again.

OH has surprised me by making the bed every day this week (he is always last up). I just wish he would keep doing this when he is back at work, such a little thing but it makes such a difference!

Only mild flying today, but some of OH's work colleagues rang to see if they could visit this afternoon which prompted me to vacuum the hall and lounge, put a few things away and clean the sink & loo.
Managed to declutter 3 things today: 1 set of cookie cutters that I haven't used for years (will go in charity shop) and 2 pony & rider log books I had when I was 14..........to be recycled. That was a bit of a hard one, but do I really want to re-read that in 1972 I went to 3 gymkhanas, a set of horse shoes cost £2.84 (now £50 +) or look at photos about 1" square? It's in the past, I can still drag up the memories and they weren't so fab that in 50 years time someone would want to publish them.

I have also done a fair bit of the dyslexia report I really must finish by Tuesday.

    Happy vibes to all.

And Bonnie - yuk to Daniel Craig too.

Quite a productive day for me. I helped DS2 edit his room and have filled a huge bag with stuff for the CS. 3 carrier bags of rubbish found their way into the full wheelie bins.... 5 more days until they are collected again. HELP!

DH took the tree down and boxed the decorations. All back in the loft space.

6 loads of washing processed. All downstairs floors done (to get rid of what the decorations that shed).

I like the decluttering idea 2015 in 2015 - I think I could manage this. DS2's room has got me off to a good start.

I need my bed. DH has been watching darts for hours and I'm losing the will......

    Great cake Bossy!

Still not cut my Christmas cake. It won't go off and I'm determined to finish the chocolate before I begin it.

My list is getting there :). I have been giving each child jobs to do each day and they are actually doing it. It will be more problematic when they go back to school but I think that I should perhaps save 7 small jobs for them to do over the weekend. I will chat to DH and see what he thinks is best too.

Am on break. It's so busy tonight that I have had to change out of my shoes and put on my trainers because my feet hurt so much :(.

I have looked up and we don't get our bins collected until tomorrow. It is overflowing :( having not had a collection since the 19th December which is DS's birthday so we still have all his rubbish too .
It is impossible to move in my hallway and is a fire hazard so may ask DH if he'll fill my car and go to the tip today while I walk the woofer.it would be a fair trade for both of us I think!

    Morning All

Well after the panto 8 of us decided to go out to tea - we ended up at Pizza Hut as we couldn't get into the pub - :eek:at the prices but that's it now.

Today I need to do some paperwork ready for tomorrow, sort the Scout banking out and the decorations are coming down too. Uniforms have been washed but I need the kids to sort them out ready for tomorrow in case they need ironing. DS has an inset day tomorrow so he's going to my M&D's but DD is back at school.

Other than that I'll see how the day goes - I slept quite well last night but I wouldn't say I was full of energy and I don't want to do loads today and then be shattered at work tomorrow.

Hope the rest of your shift was quieter Kaz.

    Have a good day all

    Morning all

Enjoying a nice quiet cuppa on the sofa in the kitchen. Today I need to concentrate on paperwork and see if I can locate DS1's passport in the process. Also need to sort the fridges.

    Lynne thanks fo the laugh.

Morning all. Another one here saying no to Daniel Craig and also to the Cumberbatch guy, just don't get it, but maybe I'm just getting old.

juliejim - we also couldn't get into the pub yesterday and ended up eating elsewhere - three times the price...

    Bossy - lovely cake

It seems that everyone is feeling a bit down, probably because our routines go back to normal this week. I've decided I'm just going to keep my head down and let all the work politics go on around me.

    So to today:

    Declutter at least one item
    Water house plants
    Take down Xmas decorations
    Walk dogs twice
    WUDUPA
    Gym
Hoover through house, maybe mop too
Sort out recycling ready for collection tomorrow
    Carry on making the cushions

Think that's it, have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.

    Morning everyone.

Had a lovely day out with friends yesterday. A bit of flying when I got back then another bit of catch up tv.

Think the birds are starting to come now. When I went to change the water there was seed in it and the fat has gone.

Today I want to give each room a bit of S&S ready for the new week.

So pleased with DD she seems to be doing a lot more now and totally off any medication. She is sleeping better as well.

bossy I have sent you a pm.

ValliHugs and money coming in vibes

LW Glad Ronnie is eating better.

    Hugs,spoons and sticks where needed.
