I'm aiming on one item out per day, any more is a bonus, today it was a few foundation samples that did not suit, so why are they in the bathroom cupboard. Only a tiny thing but it is more about mindset for me atm. Only counting each day as a success not number of itmes.
Birds fed, filled up feeders I have not used this winter and they are on them already (probably because their usual one is now drying after being washed through).
Lacking GUAG, I have wiped out one of the fridges and cleaned the litter tray. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Morning all. Not too long a list today as we have friends visiting this afternoon.
Done: horse, shower, changed Mr N's dressing, cleaned en suite handbasin.
Church next.
Want to get bulk of report written.
Have today's decluttering item earmarked, think old book due for scrap - it's been lurking in my office for ages, falling off whatever I pile it on as I've clung on to it.
Want to change bedding and tidy up bedroom a bit although it isn't too bad.
Freezing fog here, had to scrape car for ages before I went out.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
 Morning all!
Thanks for the laugh, Lynne - DH and I both laughed out loud, and it's not often that we see funny things the same way.
Lovely cake Bossy. Have a good party!
Woke up very late this morning to heavy frost and glorious sunshine, so we decided to go out and walk up a hill, but just as we finished breakfast the clouds rolled in and have shut off the view. Will do a spot of flying while DH finds out what the weather is doing for the rest of the day.
ETA Mist is forecast to turn into fog for today and the next 3 days, so that scuppers our plans to head for the hills until Thursday afternoon, when there should be a bit of sun again.
The decorations all came down yesterday and the place is tidy but needs a good clean after being ignored since the decs went up in mid December!
I too am aiming to declutter at least one item a day, with the bin and CS bag filling up nicely.
Pleased to say that I am back on track with healthy eating and think I've shed a couple of unwanted Xmas lbs this week.
Tomorrow I shall need to concentrate on paperwork and website.
See you all later... plenty of spoons in the drawer so help yourselves x0 -
Emptied litter from work prom pocket and coat pockets found some coppers so will add those to change pot.
Sweet tub that has been emptied and promised DD1 the empty tub for work, handy for keeping stuff in I'm told.;)
Just been for a walk to mils it's very slippy underfoot in places, so take care if you're out and aboutSPC~12 ot 124

Coffee break update....
Ive done the DW and kitchen dailies, done 30 mins ironing (it kills my poorly neck/shoulder) thrown away 2 items from the kitchen - a bin bag with an old paint tray and roller in (!!!!!!?) Off the top of the fridge which has been bugging me for months, and a tupperware box with a used scrubbie and old pencil case in, again, !!!!!!? Anyhoo. GONE! :j
Going to do cooked breakfast brunch for 5 persons soon then deal with the detrious from that.
kazw welcome back, you crack that whip gal, itll be ship shape in no time :cool:0 -
Spent 10 minutes watching a green woodpecker, new visitor to my garden.
Folded letters for boys to deliver.
Next take the christmas cards down. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Morning all
Bunny in his run; no sign of bunny's owners so I will scrape out the sleep part of his hutch shortly.
TD, WM and DW emptied; ironing done.
I am pondering doing a BT on the CCs to pay off the two I pay interest on as the transfer will be interest free so I'm sure it will save me some interest and get the balance down.
Thanks for the laughs Lynne! I like reading the stories on 'Not always right' (retail stories) and 'clients from hell' - don't blame ME if you google them both and waste a day:rotfl:
I saw a bird I couldn't ID t'other day (and have, thus far drawn a blank). A brown bird, sord of hen blackbird coloured and sized but with white chest/throat feathers...in fact we used to have one of those blackbirds (male as I can't typpe the other word;)) with white feathers (not an albino but I can't remember what they are called now) and I wonder if it was another of those...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Kitchen sorted here, table got ready for buffet later, and started clearing LR floor as we built a marble run earlier. None of our brains are working as it took 3 attempts to get the marbles to go in different directions lol.
LR rug swept, balloons everywhere, might stick some up with the banner.
Then I need to make a start on sandwiches. And tidy conservatory.
Piñata has been stressful. It's a pull piñata and half the ribbons fell off. Then the handle fell off. Anyway I've sellotaped and stringed it together and it's hung over the door. Hope I've not done too good a job or we'll never get it to pop. Thankfully I only paid about £3 for it.
Ooh, music for pass the parcelBossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
No flying today for me. Hubby has taken root in the living room in front of the telly and 'Five of 5' has taken root in his room. I might fit in a bit of decluttering but that's about it. I'll shut myself away upstairs. They will call me if they need me.:DThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Decided I CBA to defrost the car to go and do weekly shop so decided to walk instead therefore limiting myself to what I could carry and trundle in DH's trolley bag (bit like a back pack with a handle but it's a shopping bag). That's all now put away and just having a cuppa. DH is still trying to sort the camera program!Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0
