Hiya everyone
Glad you all had a chuckle - nice to be able to make people laugh.
We both had a lie-in today before the great back-to-work Monday the morrow. Actually I'm quite looking forward to getting back into a routine and doing things.
We had to go for shopping for weekly essentials and to the library for me to get some books. That was one nice thing about being off work - extra time to sit and enjoy a book without feeling should be doing something else
Well - you could have knocked me down with a feather - when we got back my DH offered to do the bits of washing up sitting around and has done all the WUDUPA  and yes I did thank him and made the :coffee:
Now he is ensconced in front of tv for the FA cup match - Arsenal v Hull. So I'm off to the kitchen to make the dinner - liver and bacon with onion gravy today - and listen to the radio with a book.

Cream crackered. The shower room is sparkly, the utility area has had another sort and tidy, OH has moved stuff around on the sundeck and removed an elephant from the sitting room (no kidding), and put the bird bath out at the front near the feeders.
New lodger in, unfortunately for her to the superking room, the colder room while I try and get to the bottom of the noxious pong in the other room. I might ask the lovely plumber to come and look at the drain. I have a feeling there is a major blockage under the shower room floor and I really don't want to have to dig it up.Better is good enough.0 -
I have done nothing today! Not one thing
. Back to work tonight. It's awful at the moment. Oh well, it's an extra pay shift. That'll ease the pain!

The whole house has been cleaned today - except for my RoD, i.e. the study-bedroom (though even in there I've hoovered and dusted the bits I can see!). Hopefully the piles of carp in there will diminish during the week, if I can get one with the paperwork. DH has just helped with the last bit of hoovering downstairs while I made soup. What's got into these men? :rotfl:
I might sort the Christmas cards this evening, when I get back from the hospital.
I have a big sack of bits for the CS, and my linen cupboard looks a lot tidier
Anti-pong vibes for HB.
See you all later on the new thread x0 -
Hope all you flyladies are well... I haven't caught up with all the posts! I'm sorry...
I did some batch cooking this morning (bolognise and chilli) and decluttered a cupboard in the kitchen to make room for cereal and pasta bought in bulk while it's cheap, and the Xmas goodies.
I took DS to the cinema this afternoon to see the hobbit - and decluttered some more of the Xmas sweets! Then mum treated us to Chinese for tea, so very little else done on the flying front today! Other than the one cupboard and one bag of gibble out to the Bin!
Enjoy what's left of the weekend

[STRIKE]Church next.[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Want to get bulk of report written.[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Have today's decluttering item earmarked, think old book due for scrap - it's been lurking in my office for ages, falling off whatever I pile it on as I've clung on to it.[/STRIKE]
Want to change bedding and tidy up bedroom a bit although it isn't too bad. Washing basket full without bedding so did that instead
Made a sausage and 3-cheese pizza, OH said it was the best thing he'd eaten for a month!!Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Keeping up with the OHs DH has done the ironing and cut some tree branches back in the back path.
It has bee icey here today so rather than defrost the car we went for a walk to get a certain newspaper.
I have been researching cat insurance as the renewal price is nearly £180 for a 7 year old. Paperwork edited.
Ds2 sorted for school tomorrow. Pencil case checked etc0
