Hey, I focused on the kitchen mostly as in this house it seems to be the meeting place of all crapola... Storage boxes were brought down from the tops of the kitchen cabinets used to tidy away champagne flutes, which brought a load of dust with them! DS was promptly sent up and the top of all cabinets have now been wiped (Ok, only to DS standards, but clearly better than the standard I had let them get to :) )

Dishes done, sink shining :rotfl: surfaces, cabinets, kickboards, large appliances and small all wiped.

DS was sent to strip his bed, while I did the floors... which is now being aired and will be remade later. I started going round the house with a binbag too :D

Hi all - I have a poorly ratty (Mischief) who isn't eating much :( Would appreciate some flylady vibes for him (even though I know most of you don't like the ratties!). Thanks.

Need to look at my list - I have done some of it! And really should look at some school stuff today :o

Jo - good to have you back; hope all is well x

Thanks for all your kind comments re NYE - I think the fact that Mum and Dad are the only people I have seen over the holidays made me realise just how many friends have 'disappeared' over the years.

Froddy vibes duly on their way to Mischief.

Ronnie's well and truly off his grub today; also his tum's making funny noises, so it's perhaps best he doesn't bother today and will feel better tomorrow (I've seen this with dogs before, and they usually sort themselves out in 24 hours or so).

Sorry for not posting yesterday - I was flat out with yet another migraine, couldn't face looking at a computer screen. In between that and trying to resist clawing my face off (butterfly rash driving me demented) - I think I've been pushing this current flare to the back of my mind for the last couple of weeks, and now we're back to "normal" it's determined to have it's say.

We did manage to take the [STRIKE]carp[/STRIKE] decorations down yesterday, Mr LW's stashed them away in the loft out of the way. I'm not safe to stand on the step-stool to dust, so hopefully he'll assist me with that tomorrow.

Tonight we have to pop into town when he gets home to collect our meds.

HB and Mumto5 we're also trying for d r y J a n u a r y here; I think we made it to the 3rd week last year before Mr LW cracked; and once he has a drink in front of him, he feels guilty that I don't.....
The idea this year is to not have anything til Imbolc, which is Feb 2nd.
I don't know if it will aid the flare or make it worse; time will tell.

Ronnie will be going home on Tuesday; I hope to be able to do proper Flying once he's gone. He's a lovely little guy, but very time and energy consuming, and if we're honest, quite a clingy dog. He's had a gentle brush today and decluttered some loose hair, so hopefully that will make him feel a bit better.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Aw dustykitten thank you so much for adding me to the ironing challenge and giving me a snowman. The brill thing was when i had an impromptu new years dinner for 8 all the xmas linen was not only washed but ironed (unlike xmas day lol). Today i've swept all the stairs and hallways then vacuumed up the resulting heap. I've looked up what the frog is and watched the little video, and today's frog has been sorting the glasses cupboard. My office is on my toots list of things to be created this year :-) (though my work office is another matter!) also decluttered 6 magazines (aiming at 6 items most days to get shot of 2015 items over the year!)

Sort out that drawer/cupboard/shelf which has been on your list forever.

Write a list of 5 things you do that make you happy and 5 that make you sad. Ponder on how to do more of the first list and less of the latter.

Hello! So, just getting the list up together to see how I'm doing. I'm going to whip upstairs and get DD to wipe her window and will down while I do DS's and the upstairs loo/sink.
Will take the calendar with me to work tonight and get it up together along with sorting out my phone. That is going to take a fair while so will do it one bite at a time! That is my frog :o.

Back to the gym tomorrow. Have worked out that I can do a 2.6k run around the hospital and a couple of roads on break so may start doing that whilst on break at night. It stops me eating after all :D

    Right, shift it Kaz!

ETA: Well that was quite painless :o. Best get off to the shower and ready for work now. Have to get kit ready too.

Rather pleased with myself. Stuck to my guns this afternoon and kiddies have both just polished off their dinners, which were the same foods! Minor incident with DD thinking it was clever to put some rice in her cup, but once it was removed without comment, she finished her meal without any more nonsense.

Also, have sorted my fridge freezer. FIL gave me a ys bag of spuds (10p) which I've wedged, blanched and popped in individual freezer bag portions with a tsp of oil and dot of salt. Plenty of hm wedges for DD and a penny a portion :T also blanched and froze surplus onion, carrot and peppers, ready for easy prep soups!

Following the chopping, I've sorted the freezer drawers into protein, veg and carb drawers. All ready for our delivery tonight :T

So I think this answered an earlier question of what makes me feel happy - mustering enough motivation to do something - anything! Need to try capture this feeling next time my inertia sets in ;)
