Hi all. Really like the idea of decluttering 1 item per day, Mr N had mentioned decluttering his office while he's off work. Happy to report that he ate well (for him) yesterday, had a good night's sleep and has already had breakfast cereal and now toast & honey. Revealed to me that he is now 8st 4lb on our scales which is frightening (he's 5ft 8 and although always lean, is usually strong and wiry due to gym).

I've already done horse feeding/mucking out.
I chopped up some veg as I need to keep checking - Mr N isn't allowed much veg or fruit at present so I need to keep on top of anything going furry. Potential soup in aga oven.
Birds seem to be enjoying the jelly I had left over from slow-cooking the gammon, I mixed it with seeds and poured it onto the bird table.

    So todays's list:
    - collect anything in lounge that can be put away
    - Mr N wants to help go through a pile of paperwork in the kitchen
    - go to horse feed shop and stock up on horse feed and more bird food
    - another student essay to mark
    - report to write
    - still need to put away 3 things in office. I won't push myself by saying more than 3.
    - find 1 item to declutter to set the ball rolling
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

decluttered a carrier bag to bin from the 'office'/daily admin area of the kitchen :j it looks a lot better :D

above it is a shelf of recipe book. My next mission is to go through them, try and use them in meal planning, and if they're no good, then get rid :D

Shoe shopping was not successful so home for lunch and then we need to head to a different town - bother.

WM1 on the line, I'll reload the WM whilst lunch is cooking. Did get some new bedding in the sale which I'll decide if I like later.

MR3 that is awful news, is there any comeback from whoever did it?

Oh for god sake...now my washing line is broke

Honey bear we had it done as a bedroom but with a ladder rather than stairs as we couldn't afford to put a stair case in and change all doors to fire doirs. It has a window in roof. They have used wrong insulation so not only is it losing heat but there is condensation forming grr

We insulated our loft with this special silver stuff, like a thin duvet a few years ago, worst thing we've done. It has mad elittle difference to the heat of the house, loft is warmer and cleaner that is all, and we now get dreadful condensation upstairs which we never got before.

I got rid of 7 water filter cartridges to recycling and a bag of clothes to the charity shop whilst out.

Just booked a party for DS. Slightly later time than I hoped but ideally he'll go straight to bed after, and it means I can keep any gifts until his birthday two days later... :D

    Conservatory tidied then re-messed :o

Jigsaws built, snakes and ladders played.

Oddly enough, kids ate their lunch, bit of faffing by DD but she ate it in the end, after being told we are a snack-free zone and there is nothing until dinner time :D I'm starting as I mean to go on...
