Morning, will possibly not get flying done today as going out with DD but I've decided that I'm going to declutter a minimum of one item a day from the house this year. Made a head start yesterday with four items - three flower arranging things past their best and an offcut of lino - today a 10 year old bottle of baby oil. Going to keep a record in my siggy.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Jayzee I suggested to Dh we could try getting rid of an item a day and not really miss any of them so I might join you on this.
Have a lovey day out with your dd.SPC~12 ot 124

Dusty I had a wreath made of bells on the door to the conservatory. Most annoying jingle although did alert me to the door being opened "shut the door it's freezing" lol.
DS friend might be round this morning so I'm going to be in the kitchen. Will use up the bananas in some muffins. I purposely didn't buy loads of treats so currently we have no snacky bits in, so I'm going to make muffins but make them healthy, less sugar, some oats and I have some milled flaxseed which might be good for all of us
I also have laundry to do and a bit of a tidy in the conservatory - will put the heater on 10min before I go out there...
Those poundshop damp traps have been fab, no wet windows out there since I put 2 of them on the sills. They were dripping beforehand. It's quite exposed too, so I'm rather impressed!Bossymoo

Morning all!
Going to try and get some normality back into life today. Most of the decorations are down - I must sort the cards and check the addresses.
I must also get back onto Slimming World. The last 2 weeks have been very enjoyable, but very beige if you get my drift. Time to get back to veg!
Have packed DD2 off to see a GP. Third UTI in a fortnight. Hopefully they will take her seriously.
A day of tidying up here, and possibly a trip to the nearest shopping outlet - I need some new trainers. I need to get back to walking - I feel very sluggish.
Hope everyone is okay...:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

Mm colours don't copy on the kindle but at least that's better than the tablet where the formatting doesn't copy at all! Right list updated so will do some of the general things then crack on with the decluttering of our room (once DH has got his butt out of the pit!)Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -

Have also just got rid of a couple of manky mascaras. I should probably be on the declutter thread but that would mean going to the trouble of finding it.
Right, dog walk before going out with DD.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
I gave 4 books I'd read to my mum when she came over and told her to cs them once she's done, sis got a load of candle stubs and tea light holders as she candle makes. Yesterday I transfered birthdays etc on to new diary and Calendar so the old ones have gone.
Going to declutter an hour on my cross stitch while Dh does some gaming ( ds2 still in his pit) then I'll tackle the kitchen.SPC~12 ot 124

I'm still here, though there doesn't seem to be much done from the lists
We seem to have been out and about quite a lot.
Didn't go out for new year, stayed at home with DD2. DD1 went to the boyfriend's. They were meant to be going out but the friends they were meant to be going with changed their plans and decided to go to a different town and stay at another friend's after. DD1 doesn't like that friend much and refused to "doss on his floor!" so her and boyfriend stayed at his instead but did nip down the seafront to watch the fireworks.
It seems she made the best decision as the so called "friend" started started playing silly b*ggers at 2 in the morning and wouldn't let anyone in his place til gone 5am!! A group of them ended up sitting in DD1's boyfriend's brother's car, the girls wrapped up in his army gear that was in the boot! DD1's boyfriend's sister had to be back over here and in work for 9.30!
Anyway, our tree is down and packed back in the attic (though I have just noticed DD2's tiny tree is still on the mantel piece). DD1 has had a tidy round up there. Some stuff has been brought down so we can sort & rehome. I'm never going to do a bootfair so it might as well go to a charity shop along with the stuff DD2 couldn't sell via f@ceb00k. DD1 found quite a few empty boxes up there and has assured me I don't need anymore from my parents
She even found some very big boxes for the boyfriend's sister, something to do with making buildings for her little boys super hero themed birthday party
Fridge has been sorted and cleaned and freezer sorted through so I know what's in there.
3 loads of washing done so far . . .
Girls room is still a work in progressand DD2 is going to have a bit of a shock in a minute when I wake her up! DD1 is back at work today. I think she said 5 children this morning and 3 this afternoon! I don't see the point of the place being open, should just go back when the schools open on Monday but as she's the mostly highly qualified in her room today she has to go whatever

More than happy for decluttering updates to be put on the flylady thread, loving the idea of getting rid of something everyday so I shall join in.
I've eaten my first frog of the year! Off for a shower next and then to take DS3 shoe shopping. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Hi all
Happy birthday JulieJims DD. My boy is 14 today and I have memories of trying to get through all the sales traffic to get to the hospital, back when there were proper January sales!
So its another holiday day for us. Taking DS and 3 friends into the big city for them to go shopping and have tea out. Then 2 of them are coming back here for a sleepover.
Just having brekkie then I have to tidy the car out a bit - it is absolutely disgusting! Not much flying will get done today but I have got all day tomorrow to get the tree down and have a good clean up.0
