Evening all and well done to those of you who have flown today, more than I have achieved.

DS3 has 2 friends for a sleepover, the house feels full with 5 boys, 4 cats/kittens and me and DH.

Washing up done and that is about it. Going to set the DW, sort out who is sleeping where and call it a night.

Well today I managed the dailies but spent all afternoon completing a list of tasks, including dropping off a couple of bags at the charity warehouse (although there was more in the rag bag for them than the selling bag), collecting a Mr T C&C order, swapped a duplicated Christmas present and generally ran around. I've just pulled the shin beef from the freezer for our traditional NYE dinner.

Now then HoneyBear please don't curtail your posts next year. I find long posts from Flyladies here tend to be either (a) extremely informative or instructional or both or (b) are a vent or call for support - and there always seems to be someone here willing to listen or provide a virtual shoulder to lean on. Fabulous lot the Flyladies.

    Hola Flyladies

Life has been so very busy in the past few months, I am working to my capacity not to mention ferrying the skids around, being the dutiful wife and trying to hang on to my sanity! But my home is suffering as a result, so I pledge to rejoin you lovely lot in the New Year and get myself back to rights.

Hugs, sticks, spoons and HNY wishes to all those who want/need them  xx

Fizz! I went looking for you last night :o as I had been wondering where you and nicki were and nicki then popped back. It was ages ago when you last popped in! I find that sometimes I don't have time to post too but the house suffers if I can't cross stuff off.
Hey, I've even done ironing tonight. I think that if I iron stuff each day or so, the kids will put their clothes away as it's on hangers already. That's the plan!

  • Narc0 - so happy you and hubby get to see new year in together, just how it should be.

Honeybear, i'm relatively new to this thread (and a couple of others) but really enjoy reading them all, long and short, and already beginning to class you all as my MSE friends, please don't change your posts.

Well after a long but joyous day, I've come to bed with laptop, and cleared stairs on the way, wondering why I trip over things so many times before clearing them away, it only took 2 trips!! Hubby reckons he'll come up in a short time, to take laptop off me and turn lights off, as I will have fallen asleep with laptop on me (have done this many times) and he's worried i'll turn over one time and laptop will fall and break!!
Loving life to the full, just need purse full too :)

    Evening all

    Dailies done
Christmas cloth removed as it was difficult for Ds2 to see his Lego pieces on.

A further 30 mins defrosting car. We managed a trip into the city centre.
Ds2 spent some of his voucher and money. He bought books, Lego and skylanders. I bought some cleanser and toner in the sale with vouchers (from switching utilities) so quite mse friendly. We had an altercation with a lady who patted ds2 and said he looked fed up whilst I was looking at a shelf for a pencil case.

Visited bank (local town one has closed down)

CY I received my secret Santa. I haven't guessed who it is from x Thank you for organising it x

New year res: sorting shelves of doom and crap corner so they are no longer doomed. Also to actually do some lists more often.

Finally received a report today from ds2's OT assessment in October.

Need to work out any deadline re ds1 uni stuff. He has 2 of 5 offers so far. I hoping he does get some more as so far he is choosing the furthest away one.

    Lovely words HB x

I'm back! Got back early hours of yesterday morning. It was lovely to come back to a tidy hous but it didn't last long!

We all had an amazing time. Disneyland was spectacular and so magical! There was Christmas decs and music everywhere. A bit surreal walking around the park on Christmas day. It was so busy- I had to keep reminding myself it was was Christmas day!! It certainly wasn't restful- early mornings and late nights with no rest in between. It was so worth it though!

Yesterday oH was working for home all day so I was asked to take the boys out which I did. So apart from washing (I have done 6 loads since we got back), cooking and tidying up the mess from our belated (yesterday) Christmas day, not a lot has been done.

Today I have read last weeks thread (does that make me sad?- I just wanted to hear how everyone had been and what everyone was up to) and had a good tidy up and clean of the living room and kitchen. The hallway now looks clearer and not like a jumble sale. I had sorted all the holiday clothes into piles in the hallway and couldn't clear them quick enough!

Anyway, I am just catching up on this weeks thread and I am ready to start on the lists tomorrow!
