Monday Morning, and time to focus back on the work mode.
I had tried to get my embroidery machine working, but didn't manage it. I need to re-read the manual and see if I can find out why I am not able to get a image up.
On the home front I have a mountain of wet washing to get dry, and ironed. The bathroom looks like Mrs wishy washy's !
The week ahead has a few changes especially tomorrow as I have sealed my day off so I can take my Mum to MK .
On Friday I have to take DGD back to the hospital for her eye appointment in the late morning, and in the evening it is my dearest friends engagement party, that I need to at least pop my head into, I still haven't met her intended, life has got in the way somewhat.
On the sewing front I expect a slow week but have plenty to do if it is, as the Christmas display etc will need to be arranged, the Santa hats and stockings made and the search for an outlet for the stock pile of clothing that didn't sell when we had the clothing for sale.
I realise that I may have to just cash it in by the weight but hope I can find another way before I do that as I don't want to loose the value I originally invested in it all.
So no matter what comes through the doors I will be busy.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

DGD had Brownies tonight. A visit to the Police Station. She said they got to go in the cells. She also said the bed was horrid and hard and the pillow was bad too! You need to take your own sleeping bag and pillow she said!!

A paw patrol costume for £10? That seems kind of too cheap to me. I mention this because I got a costume made, which was quite simple but I didn't have time, back in 1985 for a wee one and it cost £15, which I thought, at the time, was a bargain. I had to buy the material on top of that; that was of course just for the labour.

The lady around the corner from us, at the shops, has a small sewing business. I went in there the other day. Not a full on shop like yours, but she makes Santa hats, £9.99. I only noticed because someone came in and bought two while I was in there.

How about making something like cot sets? My cousin in the States had some made up for her grandchildren. I thought the prices were eye watering, USD$149 just for the bumper and another USD$139 for the comforter, but she said it was well worth it. I'll send you a link, in case you fancy checking them out.

Second hand good quality clothes - I asked my DD, she's more into fashion than me. She recommends Vinted if you want to sell them online. She says it works like Amazon but is "much more interesting". I found this on the telegraph:

FWIW, I've just paid £8 to have 4" cut off the top of an elasticated skirt and a new elastic casing put on. It's a job I could have done myself, but would never have got round to!
Signature removed for peace of mind

I will look at the prices of the makes!
I have a selection of Santa hats that we have made in the shop, and need to get the prices right. I sold them at £3.99 last year!

Looks like I am definitely under charging on the makes!

That is the sort of price people expect to pay for mass produced products in a supermarket, certainly not local hand made bespoke products. I'd triple your prices. And if you can make each one slightly unique then even better, quadruple price plus :T

I think 10 to 12 pounds for a Santa hat embroidered with a name would be a good price and sell really well. Child and adult sizes.

I'm sure you said you have an embroidery machine.

Yes I have an embroidery machine.
I'm also trying to learn how to use a new machine at the moment.
All the more reason to get to grips with it sooner rather then later.
I think that because I don't have much money I tend to forget that there are people who will pay more😏

I have woken up with my positive head on, and have a list of things to do today at work and at home.
The first load of washing has just finished, and the packed lunches done. Breakfast is finished and it's time to get dressed.
I have a long list of little jobs to finish today.
So I am on a mission to tick off lots of things by the end of the day.
