The campervan things were paid for and collected at the end of the day yesterday so I have just been to the bank to pay the money in now.
Today is a sewing day after yesterday was all computer work etc X
Looks like trousers are the main contenders today.
DGD is at her Holiday Club, with some of the Lego she got for her birthday earlier in the month. She loves her Lego Molly41. XxWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Tired tonight. I was at work early and by the end of the day I was yawning rather too much.
I did trousers most of the day, and teaching of course, which I had forgotten about. No money in today though. Those collections that were done had already paid upfront.
But there are about £160 worth of jobs now ready to collect.
DS and his gf have finally started to receive Tax Credits and sound happier that they have food in the house!
But he said my bike he is using's chain broke so he needed me to take him to get a new one or get it fixed. Told him tomorrow I am out for the day- Cadbury World trip, so he had to either get help elsewhere or wait till the weekend.
DGD is still a bit unsettled but I hope tomorrow she will have a good day. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
We had a good day today at Cadbury World. If you follow the trails, read the information etc, and listen to the story telling like we did it was interesting and all 3 grandchildren ages 5,6,8 had a good day. They had faces painted, chocolate tastes and a roller coaster ride in the 4D cinema.
We ran out of time to see the about vile Experience.
On the plus side we came home to dinner all ready cooked as I had left it simmering away in the thermal cooking bag. Yummy.
Before we went out my muscles food delivery had arrived, so now we have plenty of meat to tide us through November.
Time for an early night so we are full steam ahead tomorrow. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I have been trying to take it a bit more easy then of late as my body has been complaining. On Thursday my friend who has problems with her autistic child asked for us to go out for tea, so after work we met up in the local pub and had a meal deal and a natter.
On Friday I was in the shop on my own again, and got a few little jobs finished, but took the afternoon to "play". after sewing poppers on dribble bibs I made some knickers from a kit that came in my sewing magazine and then started to make Christmas stockings.
Twin1 and family came up for the weekend to see DGD, and stayed in my house. I exited to see a friend and went to Bournemouth for the day on Saturday and then out for a meal in the evening. I woke up not feeling brilliant as my joints/hips were not good from all the walking and to top it off I had a sore throat. Yesterday I got home at lunchtime but they had gone out visiting so I took my Mum to go and buy a mobility scooter. While out I slowly got worse, as my skin began to crawl and I went from being too hot to being too cold. So DGD and I had a cottage pie from the supermarket for ease, and curled up in front of the TV watching Saturday's Strictly and XFactor.
I just made it to watch Downton Abbey in bed.
This morning I feel really odd. Aches in my joints, crawling skin etc - not good. I have asked my lady to open up and I will get moving slowly and go in later.
DGD is due to go to The Holiday Club as its a teacher training day today. But I will just take her when I am ready.
I have had a cup of tea in bed, read my mail, checked the bank accounts and written this. I could easily just go back under the duvet for a while.
But I suppose I better get up and slowly potter and see how I am when I get moving.
Sore throat and shivery skin still high on the list of things! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I struggled through yesterday. It was 10.30 before I had dropped DGD off and gone to work. I was slow and just looked at one job at a time, told myself I could go home when I had done the current job, then thought ok while I am here I will just do that little job, and got till 3.45 before I gave in and went home. Collecting DGD early from Holiday club, we had a "tv" dinner, and both of us were in bed by 7pm although I didn't go straight to sleep, I did have the tv on for a little while.
I had a mixed night and I have admitted defeat today. I need to stop and rest. While I have staff at the shop today, as I need to be well by Thursday and Friday when I don't have any staff. DGD is still coughing a lot, and complaining of a tight chest, which is what I am feeling so have kept her home as well.
I will need to get milk at some stage but that is all I intend to do. Potter at home, move the washing along and not much else. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well I didn't leave the house yesterday as neither of us was up to anything.
Today I thought it would be better and I started off with house work etc but by the time I had been to Tesco for the milk and cheese I was knackered and have spent the afternoon adding the Sewing Lessons page to my website.
I have had trouble trying to upload pictures so I will still need more work.
I need some research on how to sort it out.
The staff have kept the work going and I am so grateful. But I have to be well enough to get through the door and keep it open.
DGD seems well enough to go back to school tomorrow, thank fully. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Well the alarm has gone, I have had my first cup of tea and checked my bank account and my mail. This is when I usually chase DGD to get up, jump in the shower and really get moving.
It's going to be an effort. I can hear the weather outside is wet as the cars drive past and the prospect of the next two days going to work all day on my own is not as appealing as usual. Although the thought of another day at home also doesn't appeal. How did I not go stir crazy when I was out of work all those years? ( other than that I was caring/fighting for my family?
So I better get my act together and get moving. Feeling yuk or not. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Yeah another order just came in for a thermal cooking bag!
I better get my fabric sorted and cut out so I can slot it into the schedule.
I was on my own at work today, but I had a reasonable day with several drop offs and pick ups. I did a few small jobs that came in today and finished off some from earlier in the week. I am mostly left with big curtains to do which is not so easy to do on the shop floor when I am in the shop on my own. I may have to go in Sunday to do some of the work.
My chest still feels as if there is an elastic band around it, and my voice came and went through out the day.
Sch tell me DGD was ok and she did hotshots after school. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I am awake honestly!
Seems like I only just went to bed though. As I was about to go I had a message from someone asking me to make a child's paw patrol jacket for a little boy. So that's added to the list of makes.
I need to have more hours in the day to do the work. Or no interruptions. Except we know that is not going to happen.
Better launch myself in to the day. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
