My heart goes out to her and to you Mooloo. How can a child of that age easily verbalise what they are feeling. I hope the school are being supportive, however I think they should have brought it up before parents evening!0

A morning on the phone and the Internet.
School have now had a chat with DGD and will refer her to CAMS.
I also spoke to the post adoption team, and my request for support will come up on the next meeting on the 28th.
School said that one of the biggest things that DGD is worried about is that her baby brother won't get looked after properly and be taken away like she was.
So I will need to have a few chats with her about how things are different this time because Mummy has support that she didn't have before.
I did more to my campervan curtains and cushions today, and collected in some good money for the work we had done earlier in the week. So I am fairly happy that there is enough in the bank by Monday to pay the wages, and have the rent etc ready for the end of the month.
I paid HMRC my dues today for the last 3 months. So a good day for work related things and now DGD and I are going to have a DVD and a cosy up on the sofa. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Hi Mooloo, I read often and post occasionally. Have you heard of the book 'the little bag of worries' it's quite a good story for children who have lots of things going on in their life.'we don't stop playing because we get old, we get old because we stop playing'0

Oh yes we had that book a while ago. I am not sure we still have it, as I tend to help others a lot. But I will search for it. Brilliant I had forgotten about it.

Hi Mooloo, sorry to hear about DGD's struggles. It's great your business is going well though. Isn't it lovely when a plan comes together :-)
Not sure about holiday clubs. My two weren't into them. they both said it was too much like hard work. Ah, the days when I had willing helpers! They're older and wiser now and expect to be paid.
Maybe your DGD would like to spend a day in the shop, learning to sew, or practicing some sewing, just being with you? Sometimes too much socialising and time with other kids is just that - too much.0 -
I agree with Dktreesea I think dgd would benefit greatly by helping you out around the shop. It may well help take her mind off her worries, but will also give her a purpose and a job to fulfil.
You are doing great Mooloo, don't you ever forget that. I'd be incredibly proud to call you my friend/mother/grandmother :A0 -
Does her school have a Learning Mentor? they would work on self esteem social skills etc and give her an outlet to talk.0

I'm not sure. I will ask after half term.
DGD didn't much like the Halloween Party at school yesterday. The Haunted house was very good, possibly because the lady who organised it is an American, so used to them. But the parents all put in quite an effort too.
I was at work tight up to the last minute so was not dressed up, but Biggest of Mooloos did a great job of DGD's make up, and costume for me.
My Mum has pulled a muscle in her back doing too much, so Biggest is also trying to pop in on her granny more to help.
I have booked the holiday club now, except Wednesday when we are going to Cadbury World. Twin1 is coming up with the baby at the weekend, to visit DGD. She plans to take DGD trick or treating.
Could be interesting.
I have managed to get some sweets in ready, but not got the pumpkin etc yet.
Today we did the pumpkin trail at Stowe. We walked over 5kilometres and boy do I feel it in my hip now. Heat pad on! I think I will be heating it up a lot today... Such is life.
I finished the campervan stuff yesterday, and have now had two more thermal bags ordered. So plenty of work for me to do this week.
More makes are creeping into my day now. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I never did get to go to my Mum, but I did speak to her on Skype. The walk yesterday was enjoyable but my hip is rebelling today, dispite having the heat pads on immediately after, and the electric blanket for an hour when I first came to bed.
I woke at 6 this morning and was listening to my hypnosis tape for motivation etc but DGD interrupted me, and is now driving me nuts wriggling and juggling about in my bed beside me. That girl just cannot keep still if she tried.
Today she will go to her holiday Club while I open the shop. I am on my own today. So I don't tend to get as much done on the sewing side as I do when my other lady is in. She is not in this week, except Wednesday morning as she is off to London for a TV program launch, her granddaughter is going to be the face of one of the children's programs.
I have a lot to keep me busy anyway.
Time to make a move and get a shower etc and properly launch the day. Have a good one everybody xWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well it is nearly 3pm and all I have done today is accounts, and account related things on the laptop. Seems strange to sit at the desk in the shop without a sewing machine in front of me.
But I have been busy non the less.
Only 3 new jobs in, and two collected today. So not much money in the till.
But at least I have work done that has needed doing for a little while.
I am continually tweeking things. So finally after several failed attempts I have managed to change the bank account on my PayPal, and can separate the personal purchases from the Business ones easier, and it should mean that I can sinc the Paypal transactions on line with my accounts package that I am currently using.
Although the Hub app that I used to use is nolonger available for the receipts, I will need to find another one for that.
Now that the accounts are ticking along, the paypal is sorted, its time to get onto my Website and see if I can update that one and get it sorted out too.
Wish me luck!!When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
