Hugs Mooloo. You are doing so much for your family as usual. Coping with your little GDS emotional state, recently bereaved mother & complex family dynamics. The fact you also run a business is incredible." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Just waiting for DGD to come home from Messy Church. I have caught up on the washing while watching the Grand Prix on the TV.
Spoken to mum on Skype and she is ok. Tried to get my brother but no response.
I have put dinner in the thermal cooking bag and the smell is making me hungry.
I received a cheque from the Council yesterday. So some money to go back in the bank.
Went to Primark this morning and got socks for DGD and my friend got trousers. Then I got some fleece from IKEA to use in making the Christmas hats again. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Must find my light box thingy to beat the blues!
I don't want to get out of the bed any more.!
A night of weird dreams and bouts of fitful sleep does not have the desired effect of bouncing out of bed in the morning.
I watched X factor and Downton Abbey last night so I have still got the washing up to do as well!
My lady is coming in at 10.30 this morning so I can do the accounts first thing and then finish the curtains etc while she is around and see the small jobs down on the shop floor after she goes home later. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Cricky a day that nearly went to plan. That doesn't happen to me very often!
I had customers at the start of the day, from requests st the school gates to a customer waiting at the shop for me to open.
I finished the curtains, visited a lady to help her with her curtains, did more of the camper van cushions and yes I did more to the accounts.
We took in 120 worth of new jobs and managed to bank £130
So much better than last week. Here is hoping for the rest of the week to continue into the future. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Monday night I spoke with my brother, he did not mention last week so I didn't either. Yesterday was his partners birthday so I wanted to call.
Tuesday was a day for enquieries and a few bigger jobs in. We also had a few collections, so there will be some money in the bank in about 5 days, once the card machine company sends it through.
Today is supposed to be my day off but I have a customer to go and see about recovering an office chair. ( if I can).
Then I have to go and see my Mum.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I thought that the company I keep in the morning outside school were a group of friends, that we were a tight bunch of people and that I had been accepted as part of the group. 5 years of standing at the gates chatting our lives away. But recently I noticed that I am not really part of them anymore. They seem to have moved on and I hadn't noticed. Why am I saying this now? Because yet again they all were out on a girls night out that I didn't even know about. It should not bother me, but it has.
I obviously am not as accepted by the ladies as I thought.
I am different I guess. I'm older, I'm granny not mum. I am single.
I work hard for little, and funding nights out would not be in my budget offer as I would have to factor in the cost of babysitting.
But I would have liked to have had the friends who I share my morning chats for 30 minutes every day, to have wanted to invite me.
What a fool I am to have thought that these women had accepted me, we're my friends and enjoyed my company.
Maybe I should have known better.
In my life I had rarely had women friends, most had been men.
I thought so much of our friendship and yet now - maybe I am just an acquaintance afterall.
I don't know why I'm bothered but I really feel deflated.
As my confidence is pretty low at the moment this feeling is not great.
Sorry, that's my thoughts for today.
I suppose I can walk away today, instead of standing in the cold and wet and discussing the problem of the day with the most stressed Mum, and get to the shop earlier and have a nice cup of tea and start to work a bit earlier.
Maybe I just found an extra 30 minutes to my day. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
no words but wishing i could give you a hug0

Aw, Mooloo (((HUGS))) Perhaps they didn't invite you simply because they knew you wouldn't be able to come?0

When you buy material, do you buy it at retail? We lived in the north west for a while and sold fabric at the market. We used to get it at really cheap rates from these guys
www.textileauctions.co.uk (Charles Astle),.
They're auctioneers specializing in fabrics and textiles. It's a pity Northampton to Lancashire is such a trek. But if you are every up that way, they are worth a look. They don't have auctions all that often. Their next one is the 10th of November, but I can remember picking up rolls of wool garberdine - whole rolls mind you, for £6.

These guys have an interesting shop. Closer to home for you. I've only been the once but I have bought roll ends from them. Beautiful place though. Well worth a visit if you fancy a pick me up, even if you don't buy anything.

Hey Mooloo, when you feel down I think it would be a good idea for you to go on your website and have a read. It's pretty inspiring. Nobody could read that without having a sense of tremendous achievement. I only found it because I was searching on thermal cooking bags because I didn't know what they were.0
