No she won't be on the payroll. I can't afford to pay her at the moment, she's just going to help me as I am Mum, and I don't have enough hours in the day to do everything, and my staff lady is not with me long enough to do the things we want to do to improve the business, keep it on track, set up proper systems etc
Yes, I suspected as much but I just wondered if there was any risk of anyone seeing her and saying the wrong thing at the wrong time to the wrong person.

I doubt there would be a problem. She works in a village near Northampton, people that way don't tend to come this direction, but they know I have a little shop. I don't think it would be a problem, she's just going to help me sort things better, get systems up and running that I just don't get time to work on.
We will discuss it a bit more next time I see her, which hopefully is going to be at lunch tomorrow.
Molly's daughter is helping me today. There weren't any bookings to the workshop I had advertised, ( need to advertise earlier and further afield).
So this morning I have time to work on some curtains and blinds that the kits arrived for yesterday. I need staff so I can work in the workroom upstairs on the big tables for those kind of jobs.
This afternoon I have two little girls lessons, postponed from last week.
Yesterday was a strange kind of day, with a lot of new faces taking a look, and as I had a sale rail outside on the pavement it got people stopping and actually looking at the shop. Several were amazed I have been there 6 months ( on the 6th), and they hadn't noticed me before.
My end of town seems to be off of their radar until they need the dentist.
The pop up shop next door was occupied too, so that dragged a few more bodies down the town, and dispite the cold wind the sun was shining.
I am also getting quite a few local travellers coming in. Always a challenge, as they don't seem to read or write so they ask prices, want it cheaper, and done yesterday.
I spent the last hour sewing the raw edges of some silk panels to turn into scarves for a local animal sanctuary. Unfortunately they will all need to be washed as they came from the Amonia hell the other day and boy it started to wrinkle my nose. I bought some frebreeze at Tesco on the way home!
I caught up on the sewing bee episode last night. But although enspired to recreate, I was just too tired too.
DS and his GF are in a worse situation now after the council moved them to the travel lodge in Northampton as they have no cooking facilities or laundry, and are now too far away from twin1 to go to her flat to use the facilities. I sent him the details of the homeless shelter in town, hopefully they could get there, but they would need bus fare. But they may get a cooked meal.

I have had a lovely day with family. Biggest of Mooloo and her family. We went out for lunch, well afternoon meal, after I had been to Aldi for my shopping. The service left a lot to be desired though. We had a table booked at 3pm
It was 5.30 before we left! The staff were not attentive at all. We had to ask to be served, after waiting patiently fir 40 minutes. Then it was another 40 before the meal came. Then we had to ask for the accomplishments we had ordered! Then again we had to ask for desert. It was 10 to 5 before the puddings started to come out!
We asked to speak to a Manager, and he took 30 minutes to show his face.
It was such a pity as the food was good, but the lack of service was not. Especially as the restaurant was not busy! Only a couple of other tables in use! biggest of Mooloo, filled in a questionnaire at the end, and explained why she made the score, and how she thought the service could be improved. ( we did get £20 off of the bill). There were 6 of us, and the bill was originally £94).
I had run out of washing powder this week, so it means I am now having to catch up on the washing, especially DGD's school uniforms!
The first load is still on! When that's draped around the house, I will need to put the school shirts on. So looks like I will be washing a lot for the next few days till we catch up.
I am tired still, so think I will be having an early night, washing determining when! I will probably leave the machine on when I go to bed, and will move it all on again when I need the loo in the night.
The bills have all been paid for now. But funds are now just about on Zero.
Luckily tomorrow I get child benefit, etc paid. The shop has quite a lot of more expensive jobs to do, so with any luck by the end if the week I will have enough to cover all the needs etc.
I have bought the new Sewing Bee book, my treat to me. It will be useful in the shop as well as for me. So baking paper was bought today so I can use it to draw out the patterns for the lessons.
I have decided to try and put the workshops on a repeat on the Day on a Wednesday, and see if that gets any interest!
I usually close at 12, but an extra hour or two teaching would be fine if there is the take up. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I am tired, sleep is still interrupted every few hours.
But I am trying to think positively and focus on the day ahead being a positive. Here is hoping for a good day ahead, and a day filled with positivity!
Still praying for DS and his GF to get a home soon as that baby is due soon.
A few miracles required in the world of Mooloo would be a good thing.

Woke at 4.30 screaming and crying. Nightmare that Socisl Services came and took DGD away from me, while we were on a bus going through a village near here. ( thank god I never travel in a bus)!! But when going back to sleep it was just one nightmare after another, vivid pictures of people in my past and present. Full of stress, upset and breaking apart of relationships and life in general. I felt quite traumatised when the alarm went off and spent the first half hour hugging myself wishing I was not alone so much.
My subconscious is really screwed up is all that I can say.
    I feel quite traumatised!!!
And somehow I have to get out of this bed and carry on in a busy day, and get DGD ready for school. Sort my washing out, go to work and finish replacing a zip in a jacket that I started last night. Work on some roman blinds that are in the workshop, drive to get DS and his gf to get her to the midwife, and get back to work as soon as I can as I have lots of jobs that are needed in the next few days.
I hope that I am able to keep on top of the day.
On the plus side DS has a job interview at the weekend, and the council have put them forward for a place in Silverstone.
Let's hope they get somewhere soon, he gets some work, and that baby doesn't arrive early.
Got to go, got to wake DGD, it was a late night as she had her first evening at Brownies.

Not a great day. I can't concerntrate. Lots of enquiries though. Hopefully will lead to the courses getting more take up.
I had only managed to do the zip in the jacket. And mend a few random items through the door. Including a bra strap and a zip in a boot!
Had a lightening visit into parents to leave their birthday presents and get some tape to parcel up a dress, which I posted after is collected DS and his GF and dropped them off at the Midwife.
Scraped back through the shop door at 2pm I time for staff to leave.
Emotionally I am a wreck today. Burst into tears on staff when she arrived.
She offered to look for another job, but that's not the problem. I need what she does for me, I just need to sort out my cash flow and advertising.
Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow, and it's just bad dreams upsetting my equilibrium.
For the first time in a very long time, I just feel like shutting my doors and going home. But of course I cannot do that.
    So it's a sandwich and a cuppa!
The radio is on, hopefully I will feel better then.

Well I didn't sew anything else, but I booked in and took money for two people on a course. I also had a lot of things collected that one lady had done, some £60 worth of little jobs. So at 4pm I did bank £150. Helps.
Then another lady has booked into the next set of evening lessons. ( still to pay). She wants to make the wrap around dress from the Sewing Bee. That should be fun.

Mooloo, I have nothing useful to say but wanted to acknowledge how dreadful this sounds - I am not surprised you felt quite traumatised by it. Poor you.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

I think there must be something in the air. Been struggling with horrendous nightmares & hallucinations this week too which has stopped me working as I drive for a living. Can't drive when half asleep. Spotted an almost full moon in sky tonight. Maybe what's caused so much unrest?

I hope you start feeling better soon xx
