You are all so lovely with your good wishes and I feel like I've made too much of it. Today was much better as my manager is playing it all down hugely. The child's mother has chipped in with a long email and my manager hasn't caught up with them yet. I am starting to really trust my school. They are lovely employers who accept that people sometimes make honest mistakes. I shall shut up about it now as I feel I'm monopolising with petty issues.
I made a lovely chicken stroganoff tonight with Turkey from the mrl. Me and dd gobbled it up!! Can also be made with plenty of mushrooms and quorn if liked. I always put mushrooms in anyhow to stretch the meat.
I'm now off to bed with delias chocolate recipe book which DD gave me for Christmas. Will check in before I go to sleep to see how you all are. Nite nite xxWith family, friends and pets (or any combination of them) life will be fine!

Hopefuljoy wrote: »Wow greying that Vietnamese curry looks delicious. Can I come round?! You've reminded me that I need to attend to my shed roof soon. It needs new flashing tacked on along the apex of the roof and has a bit of a lean to the left. I shall brace myself (and it!) When it's a bit warmer.
Friday at school saw me go from the wonderful heights of Monday to a rather strident parent complaint about my teaching and character. It was all extremely.upsetting and knocked me off balance. However, my managers hAve again proven to be incredibly supportive and totally different to the last school. Am absolutely dreading tomorrow when it will be sorted in some way. The parent might be the type who does not let things go and has already threatened consequences. I am coping with the fear with positive thoughts and prayer.
Strangely yesterday, I discovered from a friend at my previous school that they realised while covering my work before the new person arrived that I did indeed work hard, therefore they've replaced one me with three new people!
Sending positive vibes. Sorry to hear you've had a setback, but stay strong. XxOSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Good Evening :hello:
Just a quick catch-up post from me, whilst I'm waiting for dinner to cook and waiting for DP to come home.
Hopefuljoy - that is sounding positive on the school's handling of the parental complaint. Let's hope that it's unsubstantiated and everyone moves on - including the parent.
It also sounds like INOD's Monday wasn't quite as bad as it could have been, so :j for good grace all round
I've realised that I am a bit behind in filling you in with 'wot we 'ad fer us teas' so I'd better rectify.
Sunday night was 'made up' vegetable stew, with a baked potato and the red cabbage to use up the one in the fridge. The veg stew had mushrooms, (YS'd - should of kept them for another dish, but couldn't be bothered), pearl barley, the rest of the frozen baby carrots, some mung beans, swede and parsnip. Pic here;
For afters, we had blackberry and apple crumble, using the last of the blackberries that we picked 18 months or so ago, with some English cox apples (from the market) thrown in the mix. Pic here;
Last Night was lentil Bolognese and pasta - I realised that we'd not had it for yonks, and do you know what, dear reader? It was lushIt was from my veggie student cookbook, and I thought, 'oooh, I must make more things from this book in Februrary'..... and then wondered why the idea seemed so familiar........ I'll give you THREE GUESSES who had the challenge of 'freshers fayre' - a week of student nosh - in February last year....... :rotfl:Any hoo, a pic;
Right, will be back later.
