Dispute in a car park today

Seeing that it's an Audi Q7 I wouldn't be surprised if the OP see's a £1000 repair bill. Body work especially can be very costly.0
-
The insurance premium next year will be the kicker.0

I don't understand why people are focus on my audi q7. I have two babies, this is the best option for me.
Ok, I will repair the car myself if no compensation. But I don't understand why you guys don't think the car park has responsibility for this accident?
Because YOU were the one who drove into immovable property and caused the damage?
Maybe you should also consider a driving course to improve your driving ability of the very large car you now apparently need.====0 -
My point is they shouldn't allow more cars in the car park at the first place.
Your confusing 2 situations.
Issue 1) YOU moved YOUR car and scratched it. You cant blame something stationary for scratching your car.
Issue 2) The car park had too many cars in. This is entirely separate issue. Had YOU not moved your car it would not be scratched.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. The insurance premium next year will be the kicker.
That would depend on whether the OP decides the claim through insurance or get the work done privately at his/her own expense.
With a car like the Audi Q7 it would have an added "tax" just because its an Audi Q7 so I'd expect a bigger than average repair bill.
Another problem with body work shop is that the quality of workmanship can be vastly different from one shop to another, especially if one shop is half the price of the second.
OP how old is the Q7? If its still relatively new and worth a lot of money take it to a reputable bodywork shop or the Audi dealers but don't expect a cheap bill.0 -
I paid for the space which I can get my car in and get my car out. I didn't get that space.
You did get that space, if something was blocking you getting out then you should have waited - if there was a car parked in front of you would it have been acceptable to drive into it as it shouldn't have been there? if it wasn't safe or possible to drive out of the spot then you should have told a member of staff to help guide you out or you should have waited until it was safe.
Personally, and I may be being harsh here, I think you have thought it was safe to get out, have dunched your car and are now looking for someone else to blame/pay for your damages!0 -

My point is the car parking company shouldn't allow more cars than they could contain. The stuff there told me they only do this on boxing day. Why they didn't do it every day? They know this will cause problem or accident.
The direct result caused by double parking is the chance of hitting other people's car or hitting the pillar increase. You can't deny that, could you?
Let's say, without double parking, the possibility of hitting the pillar probably only 1%, while with double parking the possibility could be 5%. This is the result. Why you think they are two situation. There is a link.0 -
OP, I don't understand why you won't accept the advice of other posters on here. If you're so adamant that you have a cse, why don't you instruct a Solicitor to fight your case or see if your insurers will pursue it?0

Why didn't you wait for the other car to leave? We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
What is the % increase in the risk of allowing someone into the car park who cannot maneouvre a large vehicle out of a parking space?0
