I'd love to join you all too.

I did have my own thread last year and lost 16lbs but I have now put most of it back on :(

I would like to get down to 9st as I am rather petite and I think at 9st I would be a size 10/12.

    Hi,
Can I join please. I have around 3 stone to lose. I was very successful with WW a few years ago, losing a couple of stone, when I went with my Mum. She has since moved away. Have tried doing it since I got married but finding it much more difficult when hubby is not doing it with me. Went to SW earlier on in the year and found that I was getting really stressed on weigh in day - so much so that I was getting chest pains!!! So hopefully this will help me to lose the weight again.

I think I'm shedding (yep, developed a lose/loose fear now!)

If I only make one person aware I will be happy :)

I like the percentage idea and the measuring. I am looking at 3 stone plus...........
My OH has been doing the 5:2 diet for the past 6 months and has lost 1.5 stone which is all he needed - he now occasionally has a low calorie day as and when he needs it - about 600 calories - to maintain his weight. I have looked at it but cant figure a way for it to fit in around what I do/eat without it becoming a chore but I am working on it and may come up with something to suit me - my down fall is K*ttle crisps.........none will pass my lips from January:rotfl:

  • Hello stranger! I'm all over this - like most people I have about 2 stone to lose, hovering about 12st at the moment though will weigh again on the 2nd. I no longer recognise myself when I catch a glimpse of myself in a shop window :o

For those who don't know me, I'm in my first year as a teacher and since starting training 18 months ago, I have been comfort-eating like a mofo - it's such a stressful job, particularly as I'm in a really challenging school, and out of work I have an ageing and unwell granny and a Dad going through chemo, and am single with a very limited social life. The only bit of 'enjoyment' I get in an average day is scarfing down a family pack of Revels whilst I mark books in the wee hours :o This needs to stop!

I was given four personal training sessions (on my request!) for Christmas, so I'm hoping that they will complement my running and help me tone up a bit. I also have some running goals for 2015, and carrying a lighter load will make them much easier!

Looking forward to getting started! x

I'm a teacher too and completely agree that the stress of it encourages the weight gain. My weakness is chocolate too, although I'm a Cadbury's girl through and through. I also want to get back into running. I've promised myself that I'll get back to running 5km by the end of the Christmas holidays, so far 20 minutes is my max in one go (although back in March I could do an hour non stop :( ) - and that's on a good day.

  • I would like to join!! I have quite a bit to lose too, and know if I can get some support and accountability through a forum such as this with a challenge I'll have a much better success rate!! I have a couple workout dvds I might need to dust off so I don't have to fork out for a gym membership!!
