Evening everyone, its a bit lonely here today, hope you are all having fun :D last night went fab, he was as good as gold, loved his bathtime with me and DD1 and went down straightaway after his bottle, DD2 was texting me every hour :rotfl::rotfl:haha, i was so tired today i thought i would have a pj day but DD1 offered to take me to my favourite garden centre to use my vouchers i received after complaining about bad service at christmas, i thought i would treat myself to some yankee candle melts but horror of horrors they dont do yankee anymore just village candles and woodwick, so anyway treated myself to a ceramic hen egg holder (the kids think it is awful) :D but i am fed up of having to wait for the eggs to come to room temp when i bake so have been looking at them for a while it was 11.99 and i used 10.00 of vouchers so only cost me a couple of quid, i am easily pleased these days :rotfl:

MRSINVISIBLE oh that is wonderful news about your favourite niece, and i am glad to hear the pain is easing for you. The McMillan nurses do a wonderful job and will be there for your DD and DSIL. Thank DGS for the lovely gingerbread :D

Please could I ask if you would mind voting for my daughter who has got in the Top 50 of the L'Oreal The Brush contest. The Top 5 from the public vote get an approx. £2,500 make up kit and a winner picked to represent UK, who will then be up against other countries in Paris for the major prize.

You don't need to identify yourself to vote, you just have to watch the video unfortunately and a "VOTE" button should appear bottom right so just one click of a button.
It does seem to be one vote per IP address so other members of a household cannot vote from different devices.

SPRINGDREAMS the link comes up with lots of girls what is the name of your friends daughter so i can vote?

I have started my seeds for summer yesterday, but as l still have no electricity in my greenhouse, l have turned the spare bedroom into a temporary propagation unit.

    Morning,
It's still snowing here, it's not really lying thankfully. But I thought spring was on its way. It's lovely to see snowdrops and daffy's poking through.

Glad you had a nice time with the wee one Freespirit. Sounds like he was good as gold. The ceramic hen sounds fab. I have my eggs in a wire basket. I think it was Gisella Graham, and I love it, it pleases me putting eggs in it each week lol.

That's awful your brother got his phone stolen at work Junior. Was it a customer or colleague?

Nothing much being happening with me. Been working away on items for my page. It's still ticking over even though I thought it would be dead this time of year. People still ordering christmas signs.

The dance season has started with a vengeance to all my time is taken up getting my daughter to classes and comps. And now my 3 yr old has started the highland dancing too. She is very cute.

I'm off to bid on a bag on eBay. I've had my eye on it a while.

(Tried to be positive and not moan about my back, it's all I seem to do lol) x

Freespirit have you looked up different versions of the recipient on Google? You might come across something on there that is a slight variation of yours.
Years ago prima printed a recipe for Malteser cake it is delicious!!!! Basically a sponge tray cake that after pouring sponge mix into the tray you poke maltesers into it and make sure they ae submerged. When it bakes and cools you get little pockets of chocolate with chewy malty centres. Haven't baked one for ages might do one this weekend

    Hope everyone is well
Found a couple of bits I'd forgotten about when tidying up over the weekend, a set of Yankee christmas tarts bought in a sale and a nice christmas toiletry set, need to put them with the Christmas stuff.

Going to get the last of the Mother's Day cards this morning as I'm seeing my mum and step mum at the weekend so will do those 2 a week early (flowers will still be a reasonable price then so they'll get more)

Sorry to hear of everyone's troubles I hope things ease soon.

Very quiet on here at the moment - I'm still reading every day just not always posting as I have no life lol so not much to say.

MrsI, you're really good getting the spring seeds planted. Every year I say I'll do something like that but I never do - the only time I did it in the past I got a few to grow to about an inch high then forgot to pot them on and they died. I was debating trying to grow some potatoes and carrots in containers this year but probably won't get further than that.

Our garden is very long (about 120') but very narrow. When I drew a scale diagram of it the result was like a big letter 'I' lol. I'd have artificial turf if it was smaller! Every year we talk about having it dug up and re-turfed (DH isn't up to doing it now due to health problems) but it's so expensive we end up putting it off and then going through the same process the next year. Our lawn is more moss than grass anyway because there are so many trees around here that half of the already narrow garden is in shade most of the time anyway. I love being out in the garden but I'm just totally useless at planning and growing.:(
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

Thanks for the thought Freespirit. Voting closed on 28 Feb though.

It is Ruth. Odd - which I click on the link it takes me straight to her video.

She unfortunately did not make the top 5 finalists, but she was in the top 10, which is still a good result.
