Hi, sorry not been around much, I've been very sorry for myself. I've had such a sore back. It's constant dull pain and twinges when I stand up or sit down. Driving is painful. The doctor couldn't do anything, so I've to wait it out. But it's getting me down, my hips hurt too now, probably from bending differently.

I'm no fun. And rubbish company.

Will read back, I hope you are all ok? X

Thanks Free and MrsM - to rub salt in the wound the bike that's a zillion miles away has been reduced by £10 lol.

Nic - so sorry to hear about your back. Constant pain can be so debilitating and make you feel so low. I hope it soon eases up and you can enjoy your days again. Please post when you feel up to it even if you don't really feel like company - maybe your friends on here can help make you feel a little bit happier.

Have had some good news today, DD has been accepted onto her access to nursing course starting in September.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :
  • Evening everyone, TGIF is exactly how i feel this week :D not much on this weekend except babysitting little man tomorrow night, first time DD2 and OH are having a night out, i am going over to theirs to try and keep his routine the same. Other than that a quick trip to Sainsburys then a quiet weekend (just how i like it haha)

NIC oh no wonder you feel so down, continual pain is horrible it really takes it out of you, i hope you have someone to help you with the kids and the house, sending you lots of hugs and pain relief vibes x

PEPPAPIG oh no typical!! keep looking one will turn up im sure, congratulations to DD she must be thrilled :)

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

  • What great news about your daughter, Peppa, hope she enjoys it.
My good news is my fave neice is 14 weeks pregnant, she showed me the scan picture, aaaawwwww.
For DSIL no pathway yet, but McMillan nurse is going in to see them next week, (then DD won't feel so alone and responsible for all the care)
For me, the shingles are dried up and l think the pain is less intense.
Have hugs all round and some of DGS' Grasmere gingerbread. xx

    Hello all

Thanks for the birthday wishes, I had the best night (we went to the Brit awards) courtesy of my wonderful friends mum , was an amazing experience.

My brother had his iPhone stolen from work a few days ago (uninsured) so because it's in my name I have been dealing with Vodafone. Police also involved. I have to sort my DLA forms out which I hate.

    Anyway how is everyone?

I got a pirate treasure chest money box which has pirate stuff in - reduced to £1 in ASDA , book aisle there was no stickers or roll back signs so I was pleased I spotted them , got two to put away for Xmas x

Please could I ask if you would mind voting for my daughter who has got in the Top 50 of the L'Oreal The Brush contest. The Top 5 from the public vote get an approx. £2,500 make up kit and a winner picked to represent UK, who will then be up against other countries in Paris for the major prize.

You don't need to identify yourself to vote, you just have to watch the video unfortunately and a "VOTE" button should appear bottom right so just one click of a button.

It does seem to be one vote per IP address so other members of a household cannot vote from different devices.
