Afternoon all,
The heating was fixed on Saturday thank god.
DD's new meds are working a treat the only vomiting since she started taking them was after a seizure but that's normal .
My root is no more -The worst part was the injection into the roof of my mouth omg it hurt .The anaesthetic is wearing off now so I have painkillers at the ready.
I have finally got the hang of ITunes and Amazon music downloads so I am going to listen to some music in a bit to take my mind off it all.
Hope you are all having a happy and productive day. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Hope the pain isn't too bad once the anesthetic wears off chrissy, put your feet up and get lots of rest. Glad your DHs is feeling less sicky on his n meds.
Need to remember to post birthday card for my auntie then I can sort Marchs cars out.
Don't foget if you need special mothers dad cards like god mother, step mother or like a mum. Indie card shops usually have a great selection if you don't do homemade.SPC~12 ot 124

mrs-moneypenny sorry to hear about your cold, put your feet up and rest. I hope you feel better soon.
pixtotts wow must be a posh do if it's announced in the papers!
CHRISSYG glad to hear you've got your heating and hot water back. Also glad to hear your tooth came out ok, I do hope it's not too painful for you now.
freespirit what a great challenge, your son sounds lovely!
Not much happening here today, need to pop to the shop to get some fruit and veg - that is the highlight of my day!0 -
Morning all
Thanks both, trouble is I've just had half term off, at least I got the worst of the cold (the sniffing and sneezing) over during that, now I just feel really gluey, my chest hurts a bit and I don't feel like eating. I only work about an hour a day so can't really say I want time off! Trouble is its standing out in the playground so not helping. Sorry moan over.
I did do some knitting last night and have almost finished another cardi, I'm on the last front. Also found some adia and made a start on the 2nd cross stitch, I got about 3 words stitched yesterday.
Need to remember to post my aunties birthday card today so it gets to her.
I hope everyone is as well as they can be, safe journey to you JJ I hope you get back ok and start feeling much better and foot fully recovers.SPC~12 ot 124

freespirit66 - they do say that... not sure if I believe it yet! haha. Your sons challenge does sound fab! Hows it going?
princesskitty29 - I have to say I'm not normally one to get excited about weddings... but this one I am soooo excited about! I think it's probably going to be the most amazing wedding I go to. He did go to Eton and she wants a stately home wedding... so posh is a definite!
mrs-moneypenny - Oh no standing out on the cold must be the worst thing ever with the remains of a coldmake sure you wrap up warm!
I'm going to the hairdressers again tonight, I went through groupon a few weeks ago (possibly a month ago now actually...), and while I was there they asked me if I would be willing to go back as a model for their trainee have my hair dyed, they were talking about ombre so just dying the ends, I was like yeah sure, I told them just to do what they wanted when I went in for the cut. She's phoned me this morning asking if she can do highlights instead, so yeah I'm going for highlights later... bit disappointed about not getting the ombre now... but oh well.
xI hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.

When we arrived at Heathrow, dad handed us both a pair of mickey mouse ears!!!
How fantastic a way to get such a big surprise. I love things like that and try to do things a bit sneaky for the wow factor. doesn't always work though.Had a bit of a tummy bug this week which is pretty soon after the last one. The only thing in common both times was that I'd had some ham. I've always eaten ham though - could I have just developed a sensitivity to it?
Sorry if this sounds ridiculous but was it the same packet of ham? Maybe it was not kept chilled correctly wherever you bought it from. I only ask as some years ago my DH had a particularly nasty experience with a m*ller rice that must have had the same treatment and it makes me wary. Just an alternative thought to a sudden intolerance.Kiwi13 – The scrabble board frame is beautiful!!!
Can't quite believe we are nearly in March, time is going so fast and our Wedding is going to be here before I know it!!:D:D
Thank you and yip blink and you have missed it – not sure if anyone has said to you yet but one piece of advice I was given has stuck with me and I pass it on to every bride to be I come across. For your photographs make sure your photographer knows of the ESSENTIAL photos that you want – not just the “normal” photos. Sounds silly but the ones that you want to be able to have in years to come – older relatives, oldest friends, silly ones or maybe siblings and you without anyone else. I have a couple from my wedding that I’m so glad I got. Oh and one more thing – It’s you and your husband’s day not anyone elses so make sure you do what makes you both happy not everyone else.
Sorry didn’t mean to turn this into wedding chat thread.
CHRISSYG – hope the tablet has helped your DD, hard to believe something so simple could have been discussed/prescribed earlier and yet they left it so long. Very frustrating indeed. Glad your heating is sorted and hope your dentistry pain has disappeared.freespirit66 wrote: »DS has set me another challenge of wearing a pedometer all day and each day I have to add 5 steps this is my 6th week, and each week I achieve my goal on 7 days he will buy the ingredients for me to cook/bake a new recipe
How lovely that your DS gets involved to give you a helping hand sometimes doesn’t feel so daunting then and with the incentives even better. I have very little willpower but my hubby and mates are great at helping me when I start flagging a bit. Just have to tell them at the start not to take any of my grumblings and keep me at it.
Hope I haven’t missed anyone – hugs to all and positive vibes to all who needs them.

New thrift that is brill advice that kiwi gave you about wedding photos and it being YOURS and your DHs day.
We booked a photographer who sublet to a neighbour who didn't have a wide angle lens so no group photo was done and my family hardly appears on any photos. I was quite annoyed, it was only the fact a friend had taken a camera and took some brill shots that made up for it. I would suggest asking friends to let you see their photos was going to say disposable camera on the tables but they are a bit old hat now aren't they?SPC~12 ot 124

And they cost a fortune to develop! Better to buy a few basic digital cameras (or request that some trusted guests bring theirs) and get people to take plenty of pics. I've got a funny pic of one of my bridesmaids holding her dress under the hand dryer in the ladies because someone had spilt something on it and the other bridesmaids had helped her clean up.
But you want decent quality photos, not just snaps taken on a phone and uploaded to Facebook. That's all well and good, but it's not the same as a proper photo.
Only Christmassy related thing going on here is that I've finally remembered to take the cushion covers off and wash them. :rotfl:
They weren't too festive, so I kept forgetting about them.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27
